Is it possible to change out the springs on the Fox 2.0 shocks? I know some of the Tacoma guys can change out theirs, so not sure why ours would be any different.

I'm looking at replacing the Fox springs with these from OME, to handle the extra weight of the new bumper and winch.

Anyone know?

yeah people do it a lot.
usually stock people stay with 550,
bumpers /light armor 600-650,
and a heavy boy 700. my opinion is that if your going over 650 you need a bigger truck, haha

I was more so wondering about the compatibility between the Fox shock and the OME springs. Eibach clearly states that only Eibach springs will work on their shocks, as does ICON. I haven't seen anything like that from Fox, but looking at the OME spring and the Fox spring, they are super different. Not sure if that's just because the OME spring is rated for 600 lbs though.

Guess I'l order them and be the forum guinea pig...

This would be my concern too.

@ReigleCM Have you contacted Eibach to see about getting higher spring rate springs? I know they offer them, and for around the same $200. I reached out when I was considering swapping springs on the Pro 2.0 kit, but decided to go with OME.

Springs can be changed, but spring rate increases could quickly overpower the shock valving negatively affecting shock rebound control and making for a bouncy/uncontrolled ride.

Aleem has the HD Eibach springs on his Fox shocks, so I bet I could get them to fit. But now I’m just leaning towards swapping out for the full OME HD kit up front.

Welcome to my decision. By the time I bought all the parts, I was close to the OME kit. And I wasn't going to be the Guinea pig. Reach out to Frank at Stage 3 (message him here) and you will get a deal, usually.

Just swap it out for a 600# Eibach. Eibach makes Fox's springs anyway. We do this all the time at my work. Let me know if you need anything and I can get it for you.

I was thinking 650lb Eibachs on my 2.0's to accomodate my Ford Performance bumper, Warn Evo 10s, and some lighting. Any thoughts? My current setup has been feeling terrible lately.
(I'm hoping I didn't trash the shocks...)
