Chris' 2021 Cactus Grey XLT 4x4 "Overland" build

Going to start off ownership right with the creation of this journal!

Going to be your typical "Overlanding" build, nothing crazy. this will mostly be for my trip logs and such.


Coming from my built-out 1999 4Runner (which is for sale!)

Brought her home on 6/11/2022

Went straight to the trails!

Luckily I knew the Ranger was coming, so I ordered a bunch of goodies a few days before! Fox 2.0 kit showed up about 30 minutes after we got home from the trails!

I removed the running boards, I'll be getting a nice set of REAL rock sliders when I get the full skid plate set, probably a few months out though.

this week will be a good one, I have Black Rhino Armory wheels (17x9.5 6mm offset) and 285/70/R17 Falken Wildpeks showing up tomorrow. My FOX 2.0 kit will hopefully be on by the week's end. My Overland Vehicle Systems bed rack and Ironman 4x4 Nomad 1300 RTT show up Wednesday, my tint goes on Friday and hopefully, my lighting kit will be in by the end of the week too!

Excellent color choice! I just dressed up my CG with some Black Rhinos last week and I am very happy with the fit and finish. Going to hit some trails next weekend while camping, so I look forward to see how they feel offroad, on road has been great. Congrats and welcome!

Put in the new Husky all-weather floor mats, they're very nice!

Also installed new AUXITO LED high beams, lows, and yellow fogs. And before the lighting police come out of the woodwork, yes I spent the extra 10 minutes to properly aim them.

Ironman 4x4 Nomad 1300 RTT came in! Very excited to get this on! We have had 2 other RTTs, but both soft shell. So moving into the hardshell world is going to be nice! These are a KILLER deal.

And my bed rack came in too. Of course, UPS forgot the other box to go with this at the terminal, so it won't be delivered for another day or two. Not sure I can install the bed rack without the components from the missing box -_-

Loving it so far! Really excited to start getting it out on some trails and comparing it to all the other off-road vehicles I've had!

sorry but no such thing with reflector housings... that light will be all over the place and not directed properly....

There an 8mm bolt used to adjust the headlight housing. This aims the beam up or down, I aimed mine so it was comparable to the stock lamps.

thats not what i mean... with led bulbs in a reflector housing the light is not shooting straight like it should its bouncing all over the place so its output is very very poor and not directed or has the proper cutoff that a projector has on it... have you ever been in front of a vehicle where it just has blinding white lights where it just looks like a blur instead of a nice condensed beam? ya thats usually leds in reflector housings....
