I saw it in person and while it looked a bit sketch, it was doing its job and appeared to be holding up. It sticks to anything like you know what to a diaper so it’s a good interim fix when you have some on hand.I ended up just using Tuck Tape which I had lying around, and it worked great. Taped it from the bottom up so that the overlapping layers would keep moisture from seeping in. I don't have a great picture of it, but as you can see from this one (look on the passenger side, bottom half of the tail light), it did its job through a few heavy snowfalls and assorted storms.
