  1. Bigger Profile in Front?

    Never on a 4x4.
  2. New Tires Today (BFG KO3s)

I prefer the Toyo AT111's after using Toyo Mud Terrains on my Jeep for 10 years. I've never seen any 4x4ers put the whitewalls out, is that an American thing?
  3. Chinese car Geely

BYD sells pickups that are well rated but the recent Canada deal will not bring any in. The existing quota is for low cost EVs. You are correct, BYD has announced that they are establishing the first 20 dealerships and that they anticipate that they will build Canadian cars in Canada in one of...
  4. Happy Easter!

What does Easter mean to me? The ice is coming off the mountain lakes heralding the end of ice fishing and the start of fly fishing. 12 rainbows up to 20" with the lake still half covered in ice yesterday.
  5. Report your MPG

11.6 kms per 100l. All up and down, no level ground.
  6. 2021 Lariat 60,000 miles - stupid to upgrade suspension?

I'm 67 and not a mechanic, and I installed the Eibach 2.0 myself with a 1" lift block in the rear. Front left took 3 hours. Front right took 1.5 hours, rear took 2 hours. Tie the front axle in with a tie rap while working on it. 4 wheel alignment after. No issues other than the instructions...
  7. 2021 Lariat 60,000 miles - stupid to upgrade suspension?

I have a similar setup on my 2021 XLT with a steel canopy and I pack around a 50 pound boat on top all the time. Weight is similar. I went through a similar comparison on shocks and ended up buying the Eibach 2.0 including a 1" rear lift. I did go the opposite way on tires with Toyo pizza...
  8. Rotors

Replaced my rear pads and rotors at 32k. But I drive up and down, never level.
  9. Looking for suggestions on Transporting Inflatable Raft

Did you check out the loadmyboat website? This is how people with trailers carry fishing boats, you simply park your trailer in the campsite and then unload your boat at the launch. This is how older fishermen load and unload their boats, even if they don't have their trailers with them. It...
  10. Looking for suggestions on Transporting Inflatable Raft

I've used an inflatable for fishing lakes and it's a poor choice. I know 50 fly fishermen and no one uses an inflatable any more because they are uncomfortable and hard to manage, particularly if you are over 60. I would suggest a better aluminum johnboat, 8' if you are on your own or 10' if...
  11. 2.5" level kit ride changes

Depends on how you define "levelling". A simple levelling kit does nothing to ride, and nothing for looks either. No one but you will see it and you'll have to pull out your tape measure to even see it. Levelling with real offroad shocks improves performance, even on your terrain choices. So...
  12. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was in October, but Happy Thanksgiving to our slower American friends.
  13. DC-DC Charger Connections???

I use a 20a DC to DC charger to recharge my 12VDC 80AH fishing battery. I connected it to the 20a box power wire located in the rear left wiring harness on all Rangers. My battery is fully recharged by the time I get home. Been doing this for 2 years with no problems.
  14. Considering a DECKED System for My Ranger – Looking for Feedback

I built my own and am happy with it. 1/2 plywood and 500 pound sliders from Amazon. Cost about $200 total, took a weekend, and I've been using it for 2 years. I use it for my fishing gear and my 7' pram fits on top of the bed. In addition, I used the bed electrical plug to provide 20a power...
  15. Eibach Pro Truck 2R Install

Sorry don't remember. The size mentioned in the instructions was incorrect for my vehicle, but I've since learned that Rangers come with different sized hub nuts, so I don't think that you can tell until you take the wheels off. Tying up the detached components seemed to fix the detached CV...
  16. Eibach Pro Truck 2R Install

Did it myself, wasn't too much of a problem. Front right took 2.5hrs. Front left took 1.5 hrs. Entire rear, including 1" block, took 2 hrs. Didn't have any problems with the CV coming out. Hub socket size was incorrect and time included a run to the auto store. You have this. I'll second...
  17. What did you let go to get your Ranger?

1999 jacked up Jeep TJ. Loved it but my use changed. At 66 I don't feel the need to get out in thigh deep mud to hook up the winch cable any more.
  18. Super squeaky door arm rest

Same problem, it's when you rest your arm on it while driving.
  19. New Ranger Owner / 2019 - 2023 Transmission Issues???

Remember that this is the place where Ranger owners come to whine; a group that is over represented here; while the majority us are doing fine. The Ranger is a fine truck; listen to your wife and enjoy it without worry.
