I like them, but here’s what I noticed. When I was replacing one I had on for a couple of years, to my surprise- some of the paint had been rubbed away. The grit/small particles of dirt that was trapped on the backside of the deflector must have slowly kinda grounded some small spots- rubbing the paint off.

For anyone who has run into a rubbing issue with the AVS Bugflector II, maybe you just need to adjust the hood latch a bit? It's entirely possible the hood is closing too tightly with the added thickness of the bugflector, and a minor adjustment will allow it to clear again:
I tried this, but is definitely hard to get it just right. Takes quite a bit of effort to

Instructions say to avoid roller based car washes. I avoid those anyway. Touchless should be fine.

The textured ones that stick to the hood work way better that the clip on imo. No paint rubbing, adjusting, car wash issues, wind noise etc.

Ive had mine on for about a year now and never had an issue with it. I go through a roller based car wash (yeah I know they aren't great but its a truck) at least 3 times a week and its never budged.

Don't know. I wash the Truck by hand to prevent any automated car wash issues.

I went with the AVS Bugflector II. I went to Lowes and got some bigger sized push in fasteners and made the holes a littler larger to accommodate. The push ins that came with the AVS left a little to be desired. looks sharp once it is on.

I had my 10K oil change in February and had the dealer install one on mine. They did a great job - I've run it through a few times in the auto-wash without any issues. We have endless highway construction in Pensacola so it's doing the job quite nicely with the loose gravel and bugs.

I went with the AVS Bugflector II. It was an easy install, pop out a few fasteners, cruse 10-15 times, attach deflector, realize it's not straight, curse 10-15 more times, re-attach in the correct position, and done.

Couldn't be more happier with the AVS! I highly recommend adding a deflector, it's saved my hood from being chipped several times.

I am considering installing the AVS Bugflector II and was wondering if anyone has noticed a difference in mpg since the install.

Mine just arrived, will install this weekend.
I stopped tracking MPG years ago! Trucks, even with 4 bangers get crappy gas mileage...
And I guess I should throw out a "damn you guys!". More money spent!
