Stop tempting my wallet!

Does it work well?

how many extra hp???
Don't worry Mike, Paul got me too with his write up and video. :curse: ?

But it does work very well and I've had mine on for about 6,000 miles now and it's been great. It was plastered with bugs on our trip where my windshield remained fairly clean and I never got any stone chips in the 5,000 miles we did.

Add a damper with it and you should see at least 30 hp. ?

Mike,
On a recent trip I picked up quite a few bugs on the front of the truck but not a speck on the hood and very few on the windshield. I'm very pleased all the way around with this Deflector... :like:

The jury is out on extra hp... :inspect: Dave @AzScorpion is an expert on these kind of questions... o_O :D

Far be it from me to help you spend your money... :bandit:

Post some pics if you pull the trigger on it!

I think I will be buying the same as yours. It appears cheaper, but more importantly seems to fit better per this forum.
My wife says TY for the comment on her car. We just put it in the garage this week to get the paint redone, new convertible top and get shocks which don’t Jack-hammer your body when we hit an ever-present pothole in CT. I think the tag sale junk in the garage, would look great in your garage!!

If you can't get the bug deflector to fit and can return it would recommend AVS Bugflector II. Quality materials, perfect fit and attaches with fasteners under the hood...no tape.

Paul-
I did mean to complement you on your truck. The color was my second choice but that chili pepper red (CPR) I call it is so pretty on a sunny day, and not too many around here. Sure, I paid almost $500.00 for it, but with my dealer’s incentives that, the tremor pkg. and factory bed were free.
Thanks for your input.

Very nice looking truck, Bill!
NM is the Chili Capitol of the world...your color would fit in well here! My favorite plate is an authentic NM Red Chili Enchilada! :like:

I looked for about a year trying to find a deep bright color (would have taken your Red hands down) Scab and it was looking slim. One day I saw this Ranger pre-ordered on a local dealer's site and still being assembled at the factory. Went down the next day and put a deposit on it...Saber's were hard to find. In certain sunlight conditions it looks Orange...ish and in others Goldish.

Right, but the rest of the story is that you'll lose at least 15 hp in your arms! :frown: ? ?

Anyone have any comparison of the WeatherTech versus the AVS? Seems like this thread has most people with the AVS, but I’ve bought a lot of stuff from WeatherTech in the past and been very satisfied.

I have the AVS, it looks good...

Maybe because my truck is leveled, but I still get quite a few bugs on winsheild.

I like the AVS Bugflector II because it attaches with fasteners underneath the hood instead of with tape and it is nice looking. Not sure how the Weathertech Bug Deflector attaches. However, I do have Weathertech Wind deflectors and really like them...they attach in channel instead of with tape.

I have the WeatherTech...they attach with the push pin rivits into the original holes for the piece of rubber hood edge stripping.
No problems with it and its attachments after a year.
I'm partial to WeatherTech, but from what I've seen/read, AVS makes a good product also.

Do those things affect MPG?

I have the AVS that's attached with tape.

If they do, I would think the effect would be so minimal so as to be non existent.
I have their window rain deflectors, the hood bug deflector, their front and rear splash guards, so I'm sure I'm loosing a small amount of mpg....not something I even think about.
