I purchased BF Goodrich KO2's and really like them. Performed great here in Minnesota. I don't go off-roading, and I'll be the first to admit that part of my decision was based looks. I want my truck to look like a truck:)

I will add that I am a Discount Tire customer and have had awesome experiences with them every time I purchase new tires. They really know how to take care of their customers and have never let me down. On three different occasions, they patched/plugged tires on my wife's vehicle for free, and that was for the O.E.M. tires that came new on her car, not tires purchased at Discount Tire. That says something!!!

These Goodrich would definitely be a much worse choice than the Wildpeak. Worse in wet conditions. Get clogged up much faster in mud. Snow shouldn't be an issue in Florida, but even then they were a bitter disappointment for the more than 35% higher price, at least in Europe. And last but not least, the tires were louder and wore down faster, which will surely happen even faster in warmer conditions...

Love the Falken WildPeaks. Snow rated but amazing in the rain. The Hancooks were subpar in the rain.

I second the Falken Wildpeaks. I have 18's and went up one size and they still fit the stock setup while adding a beefier look to the truck. Amazing in rain and snow and I haven't noticed any change in noise or gas mileage.

Just bought the Wildpeak a/t3 - they had them on a closeout at Tire Rack - it somewhat pained me not to buy from Discount Tire where I've bought all my tires for me and my families autos for the past 15 yrs, I tried to get Discount to match the price ($217 ea) but since the AT/3 are no longer made they wouldn't price match.

However I did learn that Discount is an authorized installer for Tire Rack and by using Discount for installation I still get lifetime rotation and balancing. The Falken probably wouldn't been my 1st choice - Cooper might have been but I went for the closeout deal.

That's good to know.
My newly purchased Wildpeak A/T3Ws are made in year 2023
Sounds like they are phasing them out.
No issue for us - we have been really happy with the A/T3s
Looking forward to the longer term reviews on the A/T4s

Depending on what you are using your tires for I would at least consider the Cooper ST Maxx.
These are 265 75 16's on steelies on my 2022 XLT . Totally surprised and well behaved these are on the road.

I would give the BFG k03 tires a consideration, there are a few 18" sizes to consider. I went through the rabbit hole before buying and so glad I went k03.

I had k02 and loved them off-road (sand especially with powdery stuff) but man, on-road I never felt CONFIDENT with them in bad conditions or even getting on the fwy at speed on sweeping turns, left like it was going to understeer if I would push too much harder. They were not too hard to break loose in dry too once boost kicked in. I have been on the k03 a week now and on-road, they are a totally different tire in a great way AND they are super quiet. Don't get me wrong, the k02 are awesome and I almost got them again but glad I went k03. The k03 are a few lbs heavier but truck still feels good. MPG seems similar/same.

There is an analysis review on them showing all the improvements over the k02 which addressed the on-road wet performance issues with the k02 and other aspects where they improved the k03. Hopefully we get one more good monsoon this season to try them out. I am very optimistic though.

(this guy has good tire videos)

Our '16 Pilot AWD we had Toyo AT3 which I went with because they are pretty light, they did great in snow on our Utah trips too so we got those again for our '23 Pilot AWD. I may go with K03 on the Pilot next time as the k03 are more quiet but the weight on the crossover, I am not totally sure yet.

My final test really for them is the sand at Sand Hollow State Park, UT. That sand gets a lot of people stuck and thankfully with the k02 I was always ok. Considering the Ranger Raptors come with the k03 and many reviews showed them on sand, I am optimistic. Snow performance is not critical as we would likely have our Pilot in snow roads but that is another test I look forward too.

Other tire experience I have was the Tremor's General Grabbers and Ridge Grapplers on the '16 Pilot. The Nitto were nice tires but wanted a triple peak tire for the truck since we tow and never know what we might drive through.

285/70/17 is what I have on the truck.

I've run the BFG AT K02's for years on Jeeps, an Xterra, and now the Ranger. I'm definitely going to give the Outdoor Auto video a look. On road, I've never felt like lateral traction was in question, but I definitely feel like I get wheelspin way too easily under heavy throttle, and slip too easily under light/medium throttle making sharp right turns in town.

On the Jeeps, I was doing some fairly serious rock crawling, and never felt like traction was an issue there. I stuck with the BFG's because I found they offered better tread life than Goodyears and Pro Comps being used by my friends without giving up any grip on rocks as far as I could tell. The Ranger is unlikely to see the same type of hard use, for me at least.

I ran ko2's on my taco and I swore they wore like iron.

These general at/x that came on my truck are soft... I think.

Make sure you check out his channel in all, he has quite a few videos on tires, comparing the ko series to each other and others. Once you watch all the videos it's like you've compared each tire to every other tire if you can extrapolate how they compare to each other.... Make sense? Clear as mud?

Best? not sure but - Wow - a well rated A/T, and these are making quite few people happy.
Granted these are not as aggressive as many of the other choices.

And look at the reviews:

I just bought a set.
So I will tell you how it goes.

I would have done the same. I’m a Cooper fan and love their tires. But a deal on a good tire is deal I’m not passing up lol.

I'm a big fan of my Falken Rubitreks.

I've had them coming up on 2 years now and driven through Ice, Snow, Rain, Mud, Dirt. I go out to the beach with them regularly, take them on service trails. When driving on in any of these environments included Ice I never felt like I didn't have control. They're similar to WildPeaks but cheaper, and a little more fuel efficient (supposedly. It's still an A/T)

I did a review back when I got them here: https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/falken-rubitrek-review-novice-2020-xlt-fx4-265-60-r18.22331/

the tread holes are at least as close together as on the KO2... they are certainly just as bad in the mud. And that is almost certainly the terrain the OP will be driving on. I heard it rains more often there... BF-Goodrich KO are definitely not worth the price they are asking for. I feel terrible if the poor performance of the tire made in the USA in wet terrain irritates your patriotic sensibilities... SIC!
