I had a thread with this last May.Speaking of which, air tags are getting attention on the news. Applied to the underside of a car, such tags, which are the size of a quarter, are nearly impossible to find. Recently, the mayor of Reno disclosed a law suit against someone that has been electronically following her. Go here: https://www.kcra.com/article/reno-m...r-finding-tracking-device-on-vehicle/42271760.
There are apps like TrackerDetect, you just set your phone nearby and use the app to scan. Although unless I had a tracker to test it with I can't put too much faith in it actually finding one.Speaking of which, air tags are getting attention on the news. They would. IIRC I think at first they didn't recognize others tags but they do now because of all the stalking instances.I think an AirTag would eventually alert my phone no? I think they have an anti-stalker defense where if they detect they are always near the same iPhone they will alert that phone?
Our Samsung dryer plays the Korean national anthem when done...it sounds like beeping that the washer and dryer make when they are done.... wait the washer is done I better get it before the wife beats/loves me
You’re not in the witness protection plan are you…. Might want to have your local bomb dog have a sniff or maybe someone has put a tracker on it. I know this doesn’t help but I couldn’t resist. ?
"All the stalking incidents?"They would. IIRC I think at first they didn't recognize others tags but they do now because of all the stalking instances.
Catalytic converter theft is real especially out here. I see people reporting it almost every day on our local online forums. Just a few weeks ago someone caught them trying to steal theirs at Safeway right in the middle of the afternoon. Many have had theirs cut off in the middle of the night right in their driveways. This area is going down hill fast and is only going to get worse now."All the stalking incidents?"
But have there really been that many?
Or is it just another thing the news has told us to worry about? Like catalytic converter theft or people cloning our keys.
I think most of the air tag "stalking incidents" have been stupid clickbait videos.
Yes it's real.Catalytic converter theft is real especially out here. I see people reporting it almost every day on our local online forums. As far as the Air Tags go I can comment on the "All" part but I do remember seeing a lot of articles and videos on this before. I'm sure there are many click bait videos just like there are for just about everything on YouTube now.
True but I wouldn't move over just this one instance. Besides my Ranger is always parked in the garage and I never go into sketchy areas although Safeway is right in town but whatever I'm always carrying.Yes it's real.
But it's not as big of a deal as the news stories would have you believe. Just another distraction.
And if any of these things are a real concern to a person they should move. Post haste.
