Anyone put a Bedrug bed mat over a sprayed in bed liner? If so how well do the two strips of dualloc hold the Bedrug in place?

Thanks in advance.

Mine has been in, on top of sprayed liner, for over two years and hasn't moved at all.
To be honest, I haven't felt the need to remove the Bedrug, so I really don't know if the "super velcro" stuff is still holding. The rug hasn't shifted tho.

I don't have a liner, so what Grumpaw says is gold.

Is yours just the mat part or the entire thing with sides? If it has sides, they are somewhat stiff and hold it in place, plus if you remove and reinstall your tie-downs, the BedRug couldnever "blow out" of the bed (my SwingCase hardware is also mounted over the BedRug).

If it's just the bottom part, I'd try the tape as it sounds like it holds in Grumpaw's situation plus, I'd be tempted to sun a few loops of paracord from the tie-downs to small holes in the BedRug - more as insurance against it being sucked out while heading down the highway.

I must say that the padding on the bottom part allows me to crawl around on the bed, so I'd sure give it a try.

Let us know how it turns out and good luck!

I think the strips are more for holding it down than to keep it from shifting. The tongue/groove match those of the Rangers bed, and the portion in front of and in back of the wheel well keeps it from shifting. Think the strips just keep it from being sucked out by wind suction blowing over the bed.
But, I also have a roll up bed cover, so I'm just theorizing.....

I have the spray in bed liner, and the bed rug, but I never installed the Velcro, I didn't like that it installs on the top of the bed ridges which means I can't really use my bed as a truck bed anymore if I remove the rug without risking damaging the Velcro. They really should have installed them in the low part of the ridges. I have a tonneau cover and if it's not closed there is enough weight on the bed rug it ain't going anywhere.

As for any movement in the bed, even without the Velcro installed I've noticed none.

I have a full Bedrug liner over factory paint with a Gator X three panel folding tonneau.
I've driven with the cover folded forward, bed 2/3 exposed at 70 mph and everything was solid.
The liner hasn't prevented me from hauling anything in the box. I have an oversize painter's canvas drop cloth that I spread out when hauling dirt, sand etc.
I carry an 80# metal tool box that I slide out on the tailgate (also rugged) to access tools. I did tear up a flap of the rug pushing the tool box back in. .....contact cement fix.

Sorry I got a drop in liner. I do have a mat also. But I bought a cheap one. Ended up glueing it down.

I don't know about all that but I put a mat from Ford that even says Ranger on it. It fits perfect and I think it is fantastic.

Yep, I have a bedrug on top of the spray in. It's not the rug with the full sides, just the one that covers the bottom of the bed and tailgate. The velcro is still holding and it's never moved at all.

I have a spray in liner and rubber bed mat. It's a lot easier on my knees and will not go anywhere. The rubber keeps most things from sliding around. I have a tonneau cover also.

Same with mine and it's been almost 5 years

Same as Grumpaw, mine's been in 2+ years, hasn't moved, installed on a Line-X spray in. Every once in a while I'll use the leaf blower to clean it off.
