I picked up a 1,000 mile used Ford drop-in bed liner for my new Ranger. Thought the tail gate piece would use the original screws but that’s not the case. Can someone post a picture of the tail gate liner mounting screws and let me know what the washer diameter is and screw length? Thx G.B.

I've seen photos online, and the Ford bedliners appear to be the same as my aftermarket Pendaliner (same big cutouts with plugs for the tiedowns). The tailgate hardware on mine consists of 8 torx screws that go through a little flanged plastic "top hat" type bushing. Pendaliner lists their parts at http://www.pendaform.com/upload/files/Pendaliner_Applicaton_Guide_-_February_2019.pdf and it looks like you would need the PA01271 install kit. You can find a dealer on their website at https://pendaliners.com/

I took a few pictures of mine but am having trouble uploading the images. I'll try again later.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Joe, I will check out Pendaliner. There is a dealer not to far from my home for Pendaliner. I was looking at Dura Liner and Rugged Liner but didn't see any hardware kits listed. Ford only sells the fasteners with a new tail gate liner piece which I don't need. Thx G.B.

I had a chance to look at this today for you while I was installing my taligate damper. The screws that hold on the tailgate liner are T-20 Torx heads. I don't know what the threads are, but the screws are .800" long, and they have these metal cup washers with them too. Hope this helps?

My Pendaliner uses the same hardware as Mach-1.

Mach-1,

Great, thank you very much for the pictures and information. I had no idea what the fasteners and washers were supposed to look like. I also didn't know if the washers were plastic or steel? The screws are an M4.2 x 1.41 thread. That's easy enough to come up with but the washers will be the challenge. Going to stop by the Pendaliner dealer tomorrow and see if they have a hardware kit and check the washer fit to my Ford tail gate liner. Thanks again G.B.

I stopped by my local truck accessories shop this morning that sells Pendaliner and others, looking for tail gate liner mounting hardware that I could use with my Ford bed liner. They offered me up these plastic spacers from Rugged Liner. I think they will work. I would have rather had metal ones like Mach-1 posted but for now, I think they will work. I now have to pick up some have longer screws to replace the tail gate access panel screws. G.B.

Pendaliner must be making the stock bed liners for the Ford "Bed Protection" package. Your Pendaliner looks looks identical to my stock Ford one.
