I got the shorter one they have. Stubby Jr. Clears my garage door and reception in Atlanta is fine.

I purchased the short one so I don't have an issue when I go through the car wash. I can't speak to reception as I listen to Pandora.

I got the stubby bullet one too. That company Craven Speed is one block from my office in Tigard Oregon. I stopped in and will called it. Works great. I also had it engraved. MXGOLF PHOTOGRAPHY.

It's 20.00 on Amazon....I have seen way too many people getting the antenna ripped off etc ... I'm going with the stubby Jr....the short one...anyone have one? How's it work? Pics?
Had mine for 3 years - probably my first mod. in DFW the FM reception is fine, but I've noticed in the hill country, there is a bit more static where I used to have clear signal. YMMV.

I've held off on getting a short antenna. the long one gets in the way when I load my canoe on the rack, but I do use FM radio quite a bit, and have a couple factors going against me on the reception side. I live in the mtns and listen to a station that broadcasts from a good 60+ miles away over the mtns. I don't want to lose any range.

I listen to Spotify sporadically because I lose it if I venture very far from town. It caches the playlist so it'll last a little while outside of cell range. My only other reliable option for tunes would be to use stored music. Which I occasionally use on long road trips. I won't pay for satellite radio anymore. I tried that out a long time ago and stopped paying over a decade ago.

I live 50 miles from a major metro city and the stubby is scratchy on AM in places like near power lines and big buildings. FM seems fine.
I mostly listen to XM.

Stubby Jr was one of the early changes I made. In the metro area I've never had an issue with reception. I have yet to really be out in the middle of no where so I'm not sure how it would do there but with that long of a drive I'm usually playing an audio book off my phone.

Replaced the OEM one on the wife's Jeep Cherokee with a stubby and have no issues. I'm thinking of changing out the one on the Ranger in the future.

Nope, and I’ve actually added a couple of longer ones next to it. No issue inside the parking garages downtown. I can barely still fit into my garage, but more limited by the truck’s length than the height

I got a similar one at Auto Zone, $16.99, FM is unchanged, AM is a little worse. OE unit was getting beat up on my garage door.
