Certainly could be bad battery but my first question from my own experience is after the battery was replaced, did you reset the BMS? I didn't know about it and did not do that, then a few months after replacing mine I had these same problems.
When the dealer looked at it they said the BMS...
No, I've had the same/similar non responsive issue 4 times since easter except mine doesn't respond to the app either. Fob was checked, wiring was checked, pcm was checked and the shop came up empty except for the BMS "was all over the place". If yours hasn't done it again that's great cause it...
Well, Ford shop had it for a week. Did not find any wiring issue and it never shut down on them. They're saying they think it was a problem with the Battery Monitor System (BMS) something newish on all Fords since 2017 that watches the battery and your habits which kinda seems more like...
Not sure what made me think of it this morning but could this be the anti theft system kicking on incorrectly? It's supposed to disarm once you put the key in the ignition but if its wonky and not recognizing the key that might explain why the reset works
Had that happen once last year, luckily I was in the driveway. I didn't even think of trying the app. I pulled the battery thinking it the most likely, took it to be tested and it was fine, charge was there so we knew the battery was fine. Went home and hooked it back up and everything was fine...
I've got the black stainless ones from Ford on mine. I was a little paranoid about getting a bad batch of the poly raised letters that would sun fade so I went with the metal ones.
My 2020 did that once about a year ago I think. Luckily it was in the driveway. I don't remember if I checked with a multimeter or not but I stuck my charger on it for a bit. Didn't get any warning alerts of the charger. Hasn't done it again.
I've had the Ford Black Platinum letters for two years and they still look new when they're clean. Go on pretty easy but had to be careful with the middle arm on the E. Very thin and bends too easy. Uses 3M adhesive tape if I remember right, and once it was on it stayed there. They've not come...
Stubby Jr was one of the early changes I made. In the metro area I've never had an issue with reception. I have yet to really be out in the middle of no where so I'm not sure how it would do there but with that long of a drive I'm usually playing an audio book off my phone.
I was thinking the same as Trigganometry is. Cut some plywood to size, get some foam from the hobby shop so its soft, then I'm going to sacrifice an old pair of sheets to wrap it in. Leave the foam unglued from the board so it can easily be replaced and staple the sheets into the bottom side of...
You can still pull the headrest out, its just a pain. You'll have to wiggle the top forward against the roof while pulling/pushing up. That's how I got mine out.
The headrests used to fold down on the 2019's. If I remember right all they really did was remove the button to do it. I remember...
$550 for the standard. Took a couple hours to do it then let it cure for 24 hrs. I went with the standard since it would hold up to anything I do and I wasn't worried about fading since I have a cover. I have to say though, after seeing GregP's color matched one, I kind of wish I'd gone that route.
It's happened to me on android if the app doesn't sync with the truck for a week or so. If it happens, next time I go some where I make sure the app is running and plug the phone in when I leave then the buttons are fine.
Doesn't help the my journey recording, can't get that to work even when...
They're super handy for essential carry items.. I've got a roadside emergency kit, jumper cables, trailer hitch, nicer lug wrench, snake light, ponchos, bug spray, sun screen in one. The other has tow straps, bungies, rope, capless tank fuel funnel, a couple extra kn95 masks, and I put together...
I've got the standard Line-X a couple weeks after I bought it last year. Since I have a cover I'm not worried about fading so I didn't pop for premium. It's held up great for everything I've done so far. My only complaint is how well rock dust sticks to it
Pretty sure the hard folding "Ford" cover is a rebadged G2. That's what came on mine when I got it and so far no complaints. You're right, it's not totally rain proof but I really haven't seen much making it into the bed unless it really came down hard and even then it wasn't that bad.
Inch Empire covers from Amazon for $120.
I would recommend using some leather conditioner if you get them. They come a little dry so the color is a bit duller (pic is pre conditioner) and there's more grip than smoothness to them. Once conditioned they look and feel like regular leather seats.
I'm not sure if apple works the same way but you might check for app updates as well. With android, at least mine, if there is an app update that hasn't installed yet it may not show up in Sync unless I open it on my phone first.
