This is me loaded up for a week in the mountains, towing a 4000lbs camper. Cruising speeds were 90-110kph, depending on speed limits.

For those of us who live south of the border, @Marshal. got a high of 25.15 mpg on September 3rd, and a low of 11.96 mpg on September 5th, cruising speeds of 56- 68mph.
Bring money if you are traveling in the Great White North: on August 30, @Marshal. paid $1.36.9CDN per liter & 38.373 L = $3.95US per gallon, & 10.14 gal. =$40.05US. â›˝

11.5k miles and milage has been consistantly 24-27mpg since around the 7k mark. Have done hand caculation with each fill up. Adjusted the truck mpg readout and it's within + or - .3 of hand caclulation. Driving in NE Alabama we have many hills and driving is around 50percent city driving and 50 percent country roads and interstate. Fill up with 87 top tier gas all the time and change oil with syn oil M1 5-30 at every 5k. Very impressed with mpg. I do punch it a couple of times a month on the interstate (when lightly travelled) and it will go from 70-75 to 100 mph in no time. Thought my 3.5 2012 F-150 was fast, this 2.3 is definantely faster or it seems to be. My Ranger is a Sport Xlt and bought it last year in June.

Just took 700 mile round trip over labor day 20/80 hwy/interstate. Going out got 27.5 mpg(hand calculated) and coming back against a headwind 24.9 mpg. I do notice that 70 mpg seems to be the point where i gain or lose mileage.

Ditto, 27.7 mpg I was shocked!

now obviously i had just reset my trip, but i hand calculated previously and found 27.7 mpg and I had 3 gallons left (14.95 fill up)

Like any car between 30 and 50% over the specified consumption. Depending on driving style.

Ashley, I live in NC and we travel to MB often. I find going south I get better mpg's than I do going back to North Carolina. And, that true on all of my vehicles. That's strange to me. The wife says it's because when you're going south it's downhill, and going north it's up. She's so funny. :)

BTW, my Ranger is on order, and hasn't arrived yet. Talking to my friends that have EcoBoost engines they tell me there's sweet spot that gets more mpgs. That's finding the spot where you stay out of the "boost" when starting from a dead stop. Have you found that to be true?
I’m only 1200 miles in on my Ranger. But had the 2.7 F150 before. Definitely keeping it out of the boost when starting from a stop made a HUGE difference on MPG, which leads me to believe that the 2.3 would be the same.

Just finished a 3,400 mile trip 70% interstate driving from flat gulf coast to foothills of the Appalachians to East coast outbanks and back again. Cruise control set at 69mph for the interstate driving. 30% state highways and a few county roads. 26.8 average mpg running Shell 89 octane, tire pressure set at 38 psi with nitrogen in the tires. Weather temps mid 80s to high 90s during the trip. No tune, 2021 FX4 Lariat with a hard tonneau cover.

Here is my log. That’s with highway 70/30 local driving. I do get on it more than I should but hey, this girl likes the acceleration ?

Another one for the group:

I get about 20 MPG - mix of city and highway driving but mostly hilly country roads (with a reasonable number of stop signs). At one point it seemed like I was getting better MPG with premium, but it seemed to kind of stop. I think someone here said these trucks like warm air, and mine stats seem to agree with that - MPG goes up when it gets warmer and go down in the winter due to the gas mix. I have found the top tier gas does make a difference for sure.

My 2005 Ranger with the 4l V6 seemed to get about 15 or 16 no matter what I did, so I'm pretty happy with the 25% improvement in MPG with this Ranger.

P.S. - A few of the fillups in the ones above were towing trailers of various sizes, which obviously pulled the average down a bit.
