What is the easiest way to drop the Azz end to level the Truck? Funny how all fords beauty shots show the truck level and lower then it really is.

Easiest way is to throw bags of sand in the back until it's level. The reality is, there is no easy solution. Belltech is working on a lowering kit, but it's an axle flip. So the front will have to drop too.

The Belltech kit was advertised as a 2.5" front and 4,5, or 6" rear drop. Sounds like they may use a shackle(s) to get the range they talked about....there's always hope ?

The other kits they have on their site are all adjustable, front and rear, as well as for 2 or 4 wheel drive. I e-mailed them a few weeks ago and our kit won't be out until the "end of the year". I'll be impatiently waiting with you and the others......

To guess, Ford used a "Rest of World" Ranger with US front/rear trim for the shots. The ROW Rangers either have the std ride height or "High Rider" option.

As further "evidence", note every shot of the Lariat 18" machined Stealth Gray rims have color matched center caps. Common on ROW Rangers, unobtainium in the US.

Have read there are enough differences that the ROW std suspension bits won't fit ours. Neither the KYB nor Bilstein ROW shocks are available in the US.

This ain't exactly rocket science, shackles or a replacement spring. Most of these parts houses could build this in a day. I should get in the business...

Wonder who's great idea over at Ford Engineering to have the truck look like this? I mean i appreciate the 1800lb payload, but maybe it should be an option? "Extended Payload", something like that. Maybe a 'Normal ride height' option.

I used to think that too, but fact is you'd need lots of sand.

dreamst8, a member here, put a pallet full of sod in his Ranger, which weighed over 2,000 lbs and that's what it took to "level" the truck. Yowza.

A replacement spring that is 2" lower would be nice. I think the reason we haven't seen them is due to Ford's mono-leaf design. Spring shops can de-arch the main leaf on a multi leaf spring arrangement, but I've never seen them de-arch a mono-leaf. Maybe that's not possible?

A replacement multi-leaf pack would be nice, but would require longer u-bolts, not that it would be an issue, but it would require somebody to Engineer the product

I just went and had a look, but shackles aren't going to get you much. I'd have to measure, but it appears to be only about 2" between the spring and the frame. I'm not sure that you can put a shackle that's going to help.

I don't tow or haul much...the occasional project materials an helping my kids move is about it. I want a level look an being short I wouldn't mind lowering the rear 2". When I was a kid with a mustang we added a 2 leafs per side to get the jacked up look an also got a stiff ride. I was wondering about removing one of the smaller leafs to achieve a softer ride an lower height.

That smaller leaf (there is only one) is the overload spring. Removing that won't change the ride at all.

..... and it will only lower the truck about a half an inch.

That axel is pretty thick, more than 2.5". I'm only seeing leaf springs as a possible solution. ?
Why hasn't any leaf spring makers taken this up? Quick buck for them. they would sell quite a few. Wonder just how differwent the World Ranger supposedly level springs are? Maybe they could be modified by a machine shop or at home?

Some shop like this could probably make one pretty quick
https://www.generalspringkc.com/Leaf_Springs_Ford_Truck_s/1861.htm

https://www.eatondetroitspring.com/leaf-springs/

https://www.springworks.com/custom-leaf-springs/

I filled out the short spring request form for Springworks just for shtz and giggles, lets see if they get back to me with a solution?

I just read, these guys are local to me, i could potentialy drop off a stock spring and let them uae it as a template. Wonder if there's any blue prints of the spring available? wonder what Ford charges for a leaf spring?

Answer $156 with shipping, dirt azz cheap. Hmm. Anyone interested in splitting up the cost, via paypal? Let me see what the shop says, if they need a spring to work from. : )

My plan is to get some custom springs with about 3" more arch and flip the axle over them. Probably drop the spring rate a bit at the same time.

The Old Man Emu 2.2" lift springs are a tempting starting point. Same rate as std and about $700. The 3.1" OME springs have a much higher rate. In both cases, they are multi leaf units so softening them is easy.

The real crunch is how shallow an arch the frame has. Gonna run out of room in a hurry. Will likely need to go to bump stops on both sides of the axle to allow for enough travel.

I am worried about the frame to axle clearance too, but the ROW Ranger seem to be able have a lower rear ride height. I'm pretty sure the frame is the same so there should be a way to get the NA Ranger a little lower in the rear.

With custom springs, you can make your own rate, so i wouldn't be worried about bottoming out. There is a integrated snubber in the center it looks like. I havn't picked up my Ranger yet, but i'd be happy with a 1000lb payload and a level ride height. Beat when i put almost a ton and a halt (2850lbs) of dirt in the bed of my 2004. It weigh 3004 lbs. lol

How does that work, don't you have to spin the rear axel 180? What about your parking brake hook ups, and everything else?

Factory 2019/2020 Ranger mono leaf springs sit on top of the axle. What is being discussed is the spring relocated to below the axle. That raises the rear, thus lowering the truck.
