Tape sits flat against he hood all around. Sticks up a bit to deflect bugs. I've only held it up, but from a test fir it is exact.
Cool how much? Where do u reside?

That's the one I have. Love it. I also noticed that it looks like you either did not read the directions (like me) or like me, just mounted it at the bottom edge of the hood. For some reason your supposed to mount it about a 1/4 inch above the bottom edge of the hood. Oh well, I like it better not seeing the edge either.
I did have one issue of the 3M tape not sticking in two small places. Took a heat gun and softened the plastic, then pressed it tight. All good now.
I saw that in the instructions as well, but it looked really goofy having the 1/4” strip of hood exposed between the grill & Aeroskin. (Im also too OCD and it would drive me crazy if it wasnt exactly .25” all the way across!) I purchased this more as a stone & gravel protector rather than bugflector so I wanted As much of the leading edge of the hood covered as possible.

Glad you are happy with your purchase!

WOW, It's like looking in a mirror. That OCD is really annoying sometimes.

So I called AVS to get a better understanding of their line and how they mount. The Aeroskin line both mount via tape to the hood and this is to allow them to be as low profile as possible. The bugflectors and hoodflector use the rivet holes under the hood. The two bugflectors stand up a bit to cause turbulence and blow bugs and small debris over the windshield. The hoodflector lays flat and is designed only to protect the edge of the hood.

I have the AVS, same as CollieDog. Simple install. No car wash, noise or vibration issues. Makes my white Ranger (not racist) look like an unibrow anime character.

In case others are interested in the look of the Weathertech hood protector on a black tremor, here are a few pics. Love the fit and install was simple. Very happy. And btw, the Weathertech label peals off for this clean look.

Had AVS on my last few trucks but got a Weathertech regular unit, similar to AVS, for this truck. It seems a little thicker and I like it a lot. It mounts in between the sheetmetal and the hood gasket and you have to slam the hood a little harder to close it. I don't want one that fits flush to the hood since I like to be able to clean and wax under it. I get them to protect from stone chips, I've not had a bug deflector yet that actually deflected bugs.

AVS Bugflector II installed today. Good quality, I don’t think you even need to use the bumpers. $60 from AutoAnything.
