I just wanted to confirm our trucks are only supposed to have 30 lbs of air in the tires. I'm not home or I'd go out and check inside the door. For some reason I want to say I got the truck with 35 lbs. in each tire. I've been airing down on trails from 35 lbs. to 25 lbs. and then airing back up to 35 lbs. at the end of the trail! The funny thing is, just now is the first time I think I've looked at the Ford Pass app. to see where my tires were sitting and it says 30 lbs is the recommended pressure! Oops!!!!!

I'm starting to feel like a dolt. I wonder how much better my truck is going to ride with just 30 lbs. in the tires.

Inside of my door says 35.
I have one of the cheaper Bridgestone Dueler iterations from the factory.

Well, I have a 13 hour drive to NJ this Thursday morning. I'll put my tires to 30 lbs. and then I'll have a lot of time to see if it makes a difference!

Remember, the 30 PSI is when measured cold. It will be higher if you measure tire pressure after you've been driving awhile and tires warmed up and/or in hot weather.

tire pressure is as subjective as oil types.
varying your pressures for varying tasks
the door sticker is the go to place for that basic information, but it doesnt tell you how to adjust it for your needs.

Mine sits a few PSI higher.....not for much other reason than I am lazy.
the last time it was in for some work, the shop adjusted the pressure when it was cold.
now that its warmer, I havent tweaked them down.
Watch it! The tire pressure police will be on you any second.

IIRC It's measured cold at 50F too.

Yep. The last time I messured them was when I came off the trail and aired up to 35 lbs.. They were probably warm coming off the trail. They warmed up to 37 lbs. on the interstate drive home.

This evening, I'll lower them to 30 lbs. for my drive to New Jersey Thursday morning.

I cant get up early enough in the morning these days to find 50 deg. So, I have to add a little over the specs.

Follow the door tag. Anything other than following the door tag will lead to spontaneous combustion and imminent death. Sharing an opinion other than the door tag gets you nasty reactions (the like button thingie) and hatred. The door tag knows all.

Better to check the pressure before you start the drive and drop if needed then.

I'd go with the sticker; that way, if your truck explodes it's on Ford and not you.

Especially the part about the damper top must be up...
