I run my OEM Hankook ATMs at 32 cold. They were 40+ when my XLT was delivered.

So I have Bridgestone dueler rhs 255/65R17 is this the stock tire how do I know?
That’s what I have, it’s the stock size. As mentioned, the stock size and recommended inflation pressure is on the door sticker. Factory says 30 all around, I run 35 in the fronts to sharpen up the handling and keep the outer edges from wearing as much.

Cold psi of the stock Hankook Dynapro M’s indicates 30 on the door jamb. Just put these back on after a winter tire change-over and the tech put them at 35. Location makes a difference too.

Sun is shining on the driver side right now:

Interesting that your SuperCrew has the same size tires as my Supercab but yours specs 35 psi and mine specs 30 psi.

Had the same problem with my 2021 XLT when I got it. Tires were all 37 or 38 psi! Should be 30. Saw some other similar posts. You would think the dealer would check before delivery. I backed mine down to 31-32 range.

My XLT’s tire pressure was 41, upon purchase.
i want tires mileage, gas money mileage. So I always run 35. Hoping this Ford gets equivalent mileage as my 20 yo Silverado did. 41 too much. 30,too little tire pressure. FOR ME!!

By the way, I have super cab 4x4, 265/60/18 Hankook Dynapro ATMs. That’s what came on truck.

Hi Walker,

Ford has a door label with the pressure for the tires. I recommend you follow the door label as the development and durability were run at the development pressures. It is a balance of tire wear, handling etc. For those that "know more than Ford"...go ahead and use another pressure...consequences are on you.... There are a bunch of foolish people. Change tires...all bets off...

Best,

I haven’t used (or seen) my tire gauge in over 15 years :)

Visual checks, and doing tire change-overs (all-season to snows) every 6 months has worked for me. While I’m guessing the sensors may be off a psi or two, they seem to be close enough for routine monitoring while driving.

PSI on the Ranger is going to depend on the type of tire it has from the factory. Some have 17" rims and some have 18".
Go by the door sticker on your vehicle unless you bought your Ranger used and it doesn't have the oem tires on it.
In that case, go by the tire manufacturer suggested psi.

I'm not trying to be a jackwagon or anything, but if you have the OEM tires on your truck, the sticker on the drivers side door jamb applies...period. It says 30, run 30. I have never had a vehicle that required this low of pressure, but it is what it is. 30 is optimum performance with the suspension and weight of the truck.

There are three major factors that are affected by different tire pressures – wear, control, and fuel economy. Inflation levels affect each differently and knowing those differences can save money and even improve vehicle safety.
