I don't miss a LH grab handle. The interior A pillar has enough mass for me to grab in order to stand on the door sill when cleaning the windshield.
Hi Doug,

That is what the steering wheel rim if for...grab handle, It then just happens to be available to guide to the vehicle down the road.... :)

Pull on that column cover with you body weight, it'll come right off. The curtain airbag is installed behind there ...
Hmmm. I didn't see those airbags in any documentation (eg owner's manual), or any IIHS test video. Airbags seems to come from the roof, seat sides, and front...but not the A-pillar.
Eg youtube.com/watch?v=vcCwWNheEwg

Does anyone know if there is there a known list of airbag locations?
If there is one in the pillar, i wonder why it isn't deploying in any videos...

yes basically a ROTW wildtrak with a few extras to bump up the price
the orange stitching on the dash and seats is the same as wildtrak just different badge in middle of seats and dash
the 4wd knob is different but we dont get terrain response whatsover in ROTW
even the bodyshell is different than a usa ranger
the tailgate is smooth with ranger sticker and front wheelarches and bumper is different too
If you mean Terrain management I have that, and all the higher end Rangers have it also.
As for Grab handles, I have them in all four corners :sunglasses:
What would be the reason to leave them out of the US Rangers? Kinda weird

I wouldn't have purchased my truck if it had that handle.

Steering wheel works fine if needed.

Just grab the steering wheel. :like:
Yup...that's what I use now. I think Ford has to own up to a bit of short sightedness. The wife always grabs her hand hold as a passenger. She has a hard time if she drives. We're pushing 70...but, I do ,like that Tremor!

It was deliberate, not an accident. We don't know what the reasons were but they certainly had some.

That's what I keep telling the Mack engineers...but they still insist on putting a large floor mounted grab handle even though 9 out of 10 drivers grab the wheel instead...I know...driving class 8 semis was my first (brief) vocation 35 years ago...

Nissan removed the driver side handle on the 2017 and up Frontier that had been basically unchanged since 2004.

They had to remove it due to an airbag redesign.

My 2011 Frontier had the handle, my 2018 didn't.

Well...I suppose, I won't need the airbag either - if I can't get into the truck. LOL... It's just nice to not have to crawl upward and sideways to get in. Steering wheel works...it's the old adage - just make it work.
