If this is a known issue why is there no recall for the transmission?

They have a TSB and a few class actions lawsuits for the 10R80. Might snowball into one eventually but FORD has been the king of recalls lately. Their image and brand has taking a hit already. If this is a known issue why is there no recall for the transmission?
So it's my understanding that there are two versions of the 10R80 that get installed on the Rangers, as evidenced in some of the recent comments on this thread. The NB3Z-7000-B is for 2WD models whereas the KB3Z-7000-B is for 4WD models.Cool - Thanks
Being that my build date is 8/16/22 and the TSB stops the CDF Drum replacement at (On or Before 8/15/22)
I am GUESSING I have the new version of the CDF Drum installed.
I have spoken with Ford Parts, and I can confirm that my Transmission P/N NB3Z-7000-B was only installed on the 22 MY's, but no further details are available.
So just curious if you know the P/N of the Transmission (Old) that was replaced?
Thanks
my neighbour has the same transmission in his GM pickup, numerous transmission problemsI have a 2022 Ranger. I juuust went over 30K miles. Within the last 5-10K miles, I've experienced 4-6 HARD clunking shifts from P to D and noticeably awkward shifts around 22-24 mph and 42-44 mph (both accelerating and decelerating). Also, sometimes when I first start it, it revs high and is then much, MUCH less responsive to the throttle when first moving in D.
I was due for an oil change and when I scheduled it a few weeks back, I asked if someone could also check out my transmission (and I described the issues above). They said they had 1 transmission specialist who was booked weeks out...fortunately, I didn't desperately need the oil change and I was able to wait and book with him.
I took it in today. I had it serviced and had them do a diff drain/fill. For the transmission, I honestly assumed they wouldn't be able to duplicate any of the issues and they'd hand it back to me saying they couldn't find anything....however, that was not actually the case.
To my surprise, the service advisor told me that I'd have to come back because they needed to order parts to "overhaul the transmission". He also mentioned a TSB. When I asked him specifically what the issue was, he didn't have any answers...said he was new to Ford from a Chrysler dealer and he only knew that they were seeing some issues with those 10 speed transmissions.
I got the invoice and it just says "ORDERED PARTS TO OVERHAUL TRANSMISSION."
So as crazy as it may seem, I still have no idea what the problem is. He said it was safe to drive. I didn't push for more answers....the place was busy as hell and I was honestly shocked they found anything. They'll call me back when the parts are in and they said I would be in a loaner vehicle....so it's not a quick fix.
I'll post more details when I get them, but long story short, if you're having ANY of my issues described above.....I'd recommend speaking up at your next service. I was certain they wouldn't find anything, but obviously they did. I almost didn't even bother saying anything.....
On a related side note - while I was in the waiting area, I also heard them take a call from someone with a 2023 Expedition that wouldn't shift. The owner just bought it a month ago. The service advisor who took the call told the lady to bring it in, they'll look at it today. After the call, other advisors told him to be careful with that, they only have 1 transmission guy and he's booked weeks out. If they bring in someone who calls today, they've bumped someone who's been waiting for weeks. Ford has a very obvious customer service issue. I understood both sides of the debate....valid points to both, but it's pretty F'ing sad to think that someone with a month old vehicle that won't shift could potentially have to wait WEEKS for it even to be looked at. Meanwhile, I was there for a non-emergency issue. They need some sort of emergency rating scale. Again, like I said, their customer service needs help....badly. And call me crazy, but if the dealer employs a staff of "service advisors" (they had several) you would think the issue could be explained to the customer! But nope, he basically just read whatever the tech typed up on the invoice. I've now experienced this at both local dealers I've gone to.
Also, I was chatting with another Ranger owner down in OBX NC last week....Lloyd (from Northern VA), if you're reading this, we were just talking about this! They ACTUALLY found something. Just don't know what yet....haha.
WELP, 28 day ~800 mile update.Got my truck back today 4 days early. Work order confirms TSB 23-2350 was performed previously, issue remained.
'Removed control main, performed overhaul procedure' .. Concern still present
'Removed transmission ... replaced CDF clutch cylinder and required seals.'
Flushed tranny fluid, test drive, etc.
From my short drive tonight it seems to be working perfect, even when cold.
Looks like a total of 41 seals/gaskets were replaced and the CDF hub itself P/N "jr3z 7h351"

D.I.G.W ??It appears a seal / gasket failed , low fluid tripped the message and shift issue.
Now hopefully they will just replace it vs another repair or rebuild
Truck is back!WELP, 28 day ~800 mile update.
Truck broke down on the turnpike.
Was ~50miles into a trip with the cruise control set about 70mph on a flat part in PA. Started up some slight hills and truck released whatever gear it was in (10th?) revved up high, started slowing down and SLAMMED back into 10th (?). Bogged down getting itself back to 70 before I could kill the cruise control.
Nursed it back to the speed limit and found that any incline that caused a downshift would make it rev up, seemed like it was hunting for a gear while slowing speed down, then SLAM into whatever it could find and lug along again. Made it to the next exit below the speed limit. Had to slow down to the toll booths and it BOGGED down from about 10mph. Required more than 1/2 throttle to even get moving again. Came to a stop and tried shifting it into "S" which I read can help with tranny issues but had the same thing. Its like it couldn't get into a gear below 4th maybe.
Got it parked somewhere safe and broke out the code scanner for a P0766
and while I was waiting for a ride the "wrench icon" popped up in the dash, maybe 15 minutes after the first issue. The Ford App alerted 'Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power'
When I got out I could smell hot tranny fluid. Checked under and the passenger side was dripping but driver side was dry. Seemed to be coming from the rear of the tranny.
Going to get it towed into my dealer tomorrow.
Removed Main Control and inspected. Found Clutch control Valve D is getting stuck.
Original fluid was in ~36,000 mile before it was replaced during TSB 23-2350.Reinforces my decision on my fluid maintenance schedule.
Started early and do it every 10k and use Lubegard Platinum for me.Original fluid was in ~36,000 mile before it was replaced during TSB 23-2350.
New fluid lasted ~800mi before this most recent issue.
How many ounces are needed in our transmissions?10 or 15?Started early and do it every 10k and use Lubegard Platinum for me.
I just used a 10oz bottle to start with, and then 1oz per quart every time I drain and fill. How many ounces are needed in our transmissions?10 or 15?
