The 3.5 is a beast for sure. The mpg isn't that far off the Ranger actually. Average 20 or sometimes better with the 3.5. Towing my camper was 14 compared to 10. Average with the Ranger was close to 21 most of the time. Sometimes up to 23. I drive one at work daily and average 19 mpg mixed...

It's actually the antimatter blue. Looks black most of the time and shows dirt equally as well! We are in drought conditions here in Nova Scotia and we are on a well. It's going to stay dirty for now.

I love the Ranger but drive an F150 for work. It's a 22 and I really like the truck. Deal is decent so I think I'll take it.

So they replaced the "Tremor" style driveshaft with the exact same driveshaft. I called and they are going to call me back with details. My question was, "What did we accomplish today? In another year it will need to be replaced again." We shall see.

I'd love to swap to the one piece as well but the cost would be crazy! $729.00 x 1.44 to Canadian dollars plus shipping. I'll let the dealer replace things for free for now. :)

It's covered under the TSB. If you have a shudder on take off or around 60-70 kms/h just ask the dealer to check it. I have had no issues either time. From what I understand the driveshaft angle is too steep for the steady/carrier bearing. I'm also going to ask them to pre-grease the spline...

2021 XLT-Stock. Had the shudder at 56k KMS(35k miles) and the dealer replaced the driveshaft with the Tremor version. Shudder has returned at just under 90k KMS(56k miles) The plan is to replace it again with the latest TSB. More shims and another driveshaft. Parts on order. Update to follow.

I had something similar in my Frontier and it worked great. I will try something similar once the weather cooperates. That's a cool idea!

I'm looking for some ideas as well for similar things. Awning poles I keep in a long bag but I'd like maybe a PVC tube mounted on top of wheel well. Need a weekend to plan it out.

Same tire, new version. Also, it is now an XL rated tire. 114 not a 110. It can carry more weight essentially. The new version also has a higher mileage rating. Over the last 6 years with the Ranger and my Frontier before that, I had Cooper and Falken brands. The Michelin is a fantastic tire...
