TXRangerTim got me thinking about bed liners. Rather than Rhino Lining, either of these would likely be fine for me. One is a Rugged Liner and the other is from Ford Accessories.

Do you guys have experience with either? Both are around the same cost. Right now I can get the Ford version for about $340 shipped. That one is the white Ranger in the pictures.
The plastic drop in liners can shift around causing surface damage in the bed which could lead to rusting. They also tend to be pretty slick. The spray or roll on liners are permanent but no water gets under them. The Bedrug is installed with velcro, drains and doesn't shift around.

If you only need to protect the floor, then you can toss in a heavy mat either truck specific or one cut to size . Bedrug makes a floor and tailgate only version that is cheaper than the full bed version.

Nine major salvage yards, 3 5G Rangers all with significant front end damage.

Not a big deal. Will just be sourcing the small stuff elsewhere, probably new. At least I know where they are if something farther back is ever needed.

Found a few other threads regarding liners and most owners were pro spray-on rather than drop-in for reasons that make sense. So I'll likely go back to my original plan to use Rhino LIning.
I plan on doing the spray on Raptor lining and then throw the mat over it. Best of both worlds

Two things - you need Soupie's Fast. Cheap & Friendly Dump Runner Service to get some stuff out of your garage (like those doors, but that would be like me who kept two doors in there for 15 years, tossed them, then wished he had one when he cut the cat door incorrectly on his basement door two weeks later). =(

Second, thanks for your pics, I really like the look of that bumper. I had seen others that I didn't care for (I'm not trying to look like Mad Max or do extreme overlanding). But your's fits "my style" and would score me some serious cred at the dump! =D
Regarding the dump run thanks for the offer, but the doors are new going to a couple not quite finished remodel projects. Have been spending more time and money on the truck instead of other things.

Yes, as far as the bumper goes I thought it was the best fitting low profile one for the Ranger. I seen it on someones build here a while ago and went with it. Not the best bumper there are better ones out there, but serves the purpose well and looks really good.

Looked at a video of the "damper." I'd be too impatient waiting for the tailgate to lower. But let's get real, if a person is too weak to let it down slowly, how are they ever going to close it?
And it gets wicked pissah slow in winter - only time I've thought twice about it, but it gave me the opportunity to pick up smoking and enjoy a cig while I waited.

But I do like the damper for when I'm in the bed and need to let it down.

Started removing pieces until rain threatened. My initial comment that the radiator support might look bad but be structurally ok was up in the night. It's toast. Reshaping the body pieces below the battery to level the battery tray and align a new radiator support is going to be a pig. I just hope my neighbors like the sound of hammering and pounding.

First small mystery is the MAP sensor. It was found in the pile of broken pieces in the bed. Part number comes up as fitting an F150. One parts source indicated this part would NOT fit the Ranger. Obviously it does. The part number for the Ranger is just slightly different but the units look exactly the same.

Also discovered the coolant tank is bone dry and the AC condensor and radiator are a little worse than initially thought. I was expecting to replace them so they'll just be added to the list.

Ha! No. Wouldn't mind a fold out step though to get in the bed. Not much of the end of the bumper is exposed when the tailgate's down.
Ya those would be nice! I have a set of bushwacker fender flares I'm getting ready to list plus my oem wheels an tires.

Speaking of wheels and flares, it occurs to me that the newish 285 Duratrac tires I already have will be a little too wide for the OEM wheels. Looks like some new wheels will be in order. Darn.

I've seen front end parts on eBay. I was looking at factory LED lights an there were a few a while back.
