If you can afford to get away from the Ford I would. You won’t get much for it with that mileage, but it’s still running so you’ll get something $.

There is NO WAY I expect my 2022 LARIAT
/ TREMOR to last w/o problems the way my 2003 Tacoma did. Other than a water pump, a ball joint, and steering shaft, in 100k not one problem. Yes, tires, shocks and fluids, and batteries, but seriously in 18 years / 100k that’s it. My Ford, with now 8k mi, I hold my breath every time I start it or the transmission shifts. Sooooo why don’t I have another TACO? Because I’m 6’4” (210lbs), and if you know Tacomas you know if you’re over 6’ you don’t fit. Twenty years ago I “lived” with that because i wanted the truck. Now I drive a Ranger only because I fit in it.

Seems like if you make it over about 60k in the Ford you’ve been lucky?

I'm at 105k, will be keeping my 2019 XLT. No transmission problems. Only the heater box crapped out on me after warranty.

What are the most common issues with the 2019s. I keep most of my vehicles 10+ years usually drive it till it blows up. My Nissan Murano made it 15 years 250k
This ford ranger is already making me worry. AC issue, fuel censr failure. Do you think these trucks will last or should I sell it while it has value. Just quirious if anyone else's has felt this way?

Can only comment that my'19 @ 29K is with transmission problems - back in the shop now.

Technical, he's correct I guess ? ? ?, but I am more than willing to trade some reliability for something thats fun to drive, give me a 50000 mile Ranger versus 100000 mile Tacoma any damn day, life's too short to be bored behind the wheel!!!

auto makers need to do away with transmissions completly and replace with a generator that powers one motor on each wheel. just like a locomotive does, think of all the weight loss, transmission, differential, transfer case, drive shafts, c.v. joints and axles. theres got to be a better way

Remove the transmission and mount the transmission to the bench. Refer to WSM, Section 307-01. 2. Disassemble the transmission. Perform only the necessary steps to remove the clutch and planetary assembly from the transmission case. Refer to WSM, Section 307-01. (1). It is only necessary to remove the torque converter, transmission fluid pan and gasket, transmission fluid auxiliary pump (if equipped), fluid filter and main control valve body assembly, all 4 speed sensors (intermediate speed sensor A [ISSA], intermediate speed sensor B [ISSB], turbine shaft speed [TSS] and output shaft speed [OSS]), transmission fluid pump, front support assembly and the clutch and planetary assembly. Refer to WSM, Section 307-01. 3. Disassemble the clutch and planetary assembly. Perform only the necessary steps to remove the CDF clutch cylinder and the No. 3 sun gear shaft and No. 2 ring gear assembly from the clutch and planetary assembly. Refer to WSM, Section 307-01. (1). It is only necessary to remove the A clutch assembly, the selective shim and T3 thrust bearing, remove and discard the 5-input shaft front seals. (2). Remove the No. 1 planetary carrier snap ring, clutch, and planetary container cylinder, the E clutch and input shaft assembly, the No. 3 planetary carrier and No. 3 sun gear, the No. 3 sun gear shaft and No. 2 ring gear assembly. Refer to WSM, Section 307-01. 4. Remove and discard the sun gear No. 3 shaft seals. Install the 4 new sun gear No. 3 shaft seals. Refer to WSM, Section 307-01. 5. Disassemble the C, D and F clutch assemblies from the CDF cylinder. Discard the CDF cylinder. Refer to WSM, Section 307-01. 6. Assemble the C, D and F clutch assemblies into the new CDF clutch cylinder. Refer to WSM, Section 307-01. 7. Perform the C, D and F clutch pack endplay measurements for proper clearance. Refer to WSM, Section 307-01. 8. Remove and discard the input shaft-to-sun gear No. 3 shaft seals. Install the 5 new input shaft-to-sun gear No. 3 shaft seals. Refer to WSM, Section 307-01. 9. Remove and discard the input shaft seal. Install the new input shaft seal. Refer to WSM, Section 307-01. 10. Install the 5 new input shaft front seals. Refer to WSM, Section 307-01. 11. To reassemble the clutch and planetary assembly, reverse the disassembly procedure. Refer to WSM, Section 307-01. 12. Perform the T3 thrust bearing measurement to set transmission front end clearance. Refer to WSM, Section 307-01. 13. Reassemble the transmission. Refer to WSM, Section 307-01. 14. I'm way behind I only have 68000 going on 69000. No real issues. I do miss my 1997 XLT. 2.3 5 speed-manual. Lost that one with 249,995 miles and over 21 years of virtually trouble-free driving. The one thing I do wish my 2019 had is a manual transmission.

Well, I have my maintenance spreadsheet already laid out to 250K. Laugh if you will but I'm confident.

Hell, my previous POS (Frontier NISMO... '06 if memory serves) made it to almost 190K. (Dumped it in 2013 for a Focus ST.) But god knows I replaced everything other than major drive train components on that bitch. It was in the shop regularly. Both before and after warranty expired. Only got rid of it because I could "feel" something (transmission maybe? Can't describe it.) wasn't right so I cut my losses.

If that POS made it to almost 190k, my Ranger will do 250K.

What are the most common issues with the 2019s. I keep most of my vehicles 10+ years usually drive it till it blows up. My Nissan Murano made it 15 years 250k
This ford ranger is already making me worry. AC issue, fuel censr failure. Do you think these trucks will last or should I sell it while it has value. Just quirious if anyone else's has felt this way?

108k miles on my 2021 i bought new. No issues at all. Just general maintenance. Have faith lol

My 2019 Lariat is at 107,018 and there has not been any major issues. I just changed my original plugs last month, brakes, regular oil changes and I have changed the EGR DPFE sensor twice. I got mine with 21k on it in May of 2020. It has run like a champ ever since I bought it. Now watch it blow up tomorrow. Thanks for that!
I really like mine and would buy another tomorrow if I had too or could. I am not a FORD ONLY type of guy, but I do like my Ranger.
