It'll be one wonky sensor or loose plug and your Ranger will go for 200,000 trouble free miles after that.I sure hope so. I just hope it’s not some
Electrical issue that comes and goes that they have trouble finding. Shop
Appointment Friday morning.
Great find man! That is something you could probably fix also if warranty doesn't cover.Well, I started wondering today. Seemed like it happened every time I backed up and turned my wheels left. Got under the truck and found this! Electrical tape and broke wires on the sensor! Wonder if warranty will cover that? I sure didn’t do it, and have no idea who did it. I just bought it 3 weeks ago.
Good find. Now all they have to do is fix it.Well, I started wondering today. Seemed like it happened every time I backed up and turned my wheels left. Got under the truck and found this! figured I could splice it and use tubes. But, where it’s at it bends there where turning. I may be able to loosen the clip and make it work. I’ll see what they say at dealer.Great find man! That is something you could probably fix also if warranty doesn't cover.
I don’t think that the auto start stop system operates until the truck has warmed up.Well, it was on. Didn’t work at first two stops, then it started working and worked 7 different stops. Worked all the way home, no crazy lights. I’ll check it again in the morning.
Yea, I wouldn’t splice it and leave it. Only if they say the part is not available, just a temp fix. I have heard parts are hard to get at the moment. Hopefully they will have it and warranty covers it.Good find! I like the idea of them replacing the harness entirely. See what Ford says. I'm assuming it's under warranty. I wouldn't want some half ass repair either. The correct repair or harness replacement could last the truck for it's lifetime. A shadetree bubble gum and popsicle stick repair could haunt that truck for a long time. Who knows why the truck was sold after 2k miles in the first place.
I would rather find problems 3k during the break in period, vs. after 36k when the basic warranty is over. I expect it find items on their dime right away.Yea, 2020, not even 3000 miles. A little frustrated? Yes.
That’s a new high score right there. Let us know when you complete the level as the boss at the end is a real b word.Spoke too soon. As soon as I got home, my wife had ordered food. Went back out and started it, and this happened. Drove it to get food, turned it off there, and when I started it back, it happened again. Check out all the lights and messages...
Did you buy it from a Ford dealer?Well, I started wondering today. Seemed like it happened every time I backed up and turned my wheels left. Got under the truck and found this! No it was a local trade. A lady had traded a car for it when it was new. She decided she wanted another car and didn’t like a truck after having it a while. She traded it for a new Audi. It was at an Audi dealer. That’s where I bought itDid you buy it from a Ford dealer?
The selling dealer should take care of you regardless if they are a Ford store or not. Have you contacted them?No it was a local trade. A lady had traded a car for it when it was new.
