Nah, I'm trying to get my man card reinstated - a dirty truck is the first step. I almost have enough empty beer cans in the bed for the second step! =)

I had the same one. It was the one where you could keep pumping it up to get more pressure for longer shots and the ones now you can't do that. I guess they figured out it was to dangerous to have us kids running around with our BB guns all pumped to the max. lol
I still have my .22 Benjamin pellet gun, and I shoot a few pellets in it every year. I believe it had a leather gasket for the air chamber, if so, still going strong. Most of the bluing is worn off (I suppose it's not regular bluing since it's all brass).

So not today, about 2 weeks ago. Some of you know that I put in "grass pavers." They were about $1,000 but they're made in the US . . .

Well, this is embarrassing, but I don't care.

We got about 2 feet of snow, I used the snow blower and cleared the driveway and behind the truck as it was parked on said grass pavers.

I was backing up and swung the front end out into the yard and the snow (there was already a foot of old snow under the recent 2 foot snow fall) and ... you guessed it, Soupie's 2WD got stuck! I mean really stuck!

I rocked back and forth, turned traction control on and off, and was this close to busting out the snow chains. Except the passenger side was in the 3 feet of snow.

I took out my avalanche shovel and dug. Still no luck. If I remember right, it was 5° and all the spinning out melted some of the snow which quickly froze into a big chunk too big to bust with the shovel.

So I pulled out my GoTreads (foldable traction boards). Well, one of them shot out into the street, about 30 feet! But finally, the traction board on the passenger side did the trick (then buried itself and didn't show up for about a week when a bit of snow melted).

And the reason for being stuck on a totally flat spot ... the plastic grass pavers!

No grip on them, it's like being on Teflon! =D

snow's been melting like mad this week but you can see the driver side peel out

So that big heavy chain hanging off the front is useless without something else to pull it. You need a team of sleigh dogs to hitch it to. It has been a snowy winter that can even stop 4wd Rangers in their tracks here also.

If he didn't have a damper he'd still have some muscle and could've pushed it right out. :muscle:

That chain is only for looks. Notice the resemblance:question:

After several calculations it seems you need more dog power in the snow with a 2wd 😃

State inspection today. Needed new brakes and rotors all around.
Can't complain. I got 109,000 miles out of the OE front brakes which in hilly western PA is unheard of.

Cool. I’m at 151,000 on all original brakes and just passed inspection with flying colors.
I had a 1999 Dodge 3500 dually for 20 years to the month and never touched the brakes. Of course I had a Jacobs exhaust brake on it too. 😁
