Used it for work again! Not as heavy as the pathfinder.

I forgot which engine you opted for. How does the new one tow compared to your previous Ranger?

Eli has a 4x2 and they only come with the 2.3 motor.

Well, i cant do an exact comparison. I need to take all my modifications off. I added the road active suspension, which helps enormously! And added the glyder torsion hitch by GEN-Y. But it tows so much smoother and stable. I cant see towing without these two mods now. I will probably do a video without the towing mods and with the towing mods after the hunting season is over. 5 to 5500 tow with the passat.
But i have the same 2.3l engine. The 2.7 was only offered in 4x4. That takes away from my payload. I have a rear locker and integrated trailer brake controller.

Not quite apples to apples then. I also understood Ford redesigned the 2.3. Same numbers but a different motor. At the end of the day I'm glad it tows well. New trucks should tow better than their predecessors.

Went to get a pizza...wait for it...At the Casino. lol 🍕

They have really good food there and every New Year's Eve we get a pizza. Not sure how or why it started but we've been doing it for years now. Now to open a bottle of wine and watch the rest of the Cotton Bowl game. Oh yeah and try and make it 'till midnight.😴

I'm two hours ahead of you on that one, which is perhaps a good thing, because after a few days of skiing, this is me:

Was able to handle some pretty severe weather conditions this morning to get to the gamelands for some target practice. Roads were terrible this morning but 4H plus my snow tires plus driving slowly got me there in one piece. Grabbed some lunch afterwards when the roads were cleared up. See if you can tell why it’s called “the rust belt” based on this picture… and yes, my truck is supposed to be black, not white.

My Magnetic will look white from all the road salt too! Do they pretreat the roads with liquid then use salt during the storms?

Holy crap!
It still looks good with the Bilstein 5100s on it and setting level.

I remember all my F150's looking like that when I lived back in MA. We'd go up north to ME & CA snowmobiling and between the salt and sand you couldn't tell what color it was. One time it was so bad I had to bring my white F150 and trailer to the car wash (wand wash) and do 3 rounds of washes just to get it somewhat clean. When we left it looked like a sand bar inside the stall. I don't miss that at all and now I just run a California Duster over my truck every 4 days to get the dust off. lol

Yeah, mine looks about the same. :(

I’ve been waiting for that perfect window to give it a good wash but it just hasn’t opened up. When it does, my Ranger will look great for maybe two days, if I’m lucky.

I’m not sure what’s worse, the beet brine or the salt.

Drove the Ranger across the Jamestown/Scotland Ferry to Williamsburg, picked up this beautiful girl complete with her jack-ette and pink collar and leash, loaded her in the Ranger, and took her for a ride on the parkway. Then we took her for a walk on the banks of the James River which she absolutely loves. We saw one eagle in flight. Then we loaded her back into the Ranger, drove down the parkway to Colonial Williamsburg, cruised through there to see all the people, then cruised back to her home in the Ranger, took off her pink leash and jack-ette after which she promptly stretched out on her sofa covered up. Then I drove he Ranger back across the ferry to home and backed it into the carport. It was an awesome day to own a Ranger……
