Just got back from King of the Hammers. Super fun weekend watching some racing and exploring trails in and around Johnson valley. The Ford booth in Hammer town had a white Raptor Ranger that I should have taken a photo of but I didn't. It looked like a lot of fun.
I'm not sure, i didn't calibrate the speedo so I don't know how accurate it would be if I were to calculate it. But it didn't make a noticeable difference.
yah its not ideal for those moving around a lot but seems to be a great base camp. When it was just my wife and i we wouldn't stay at one place longer than 2 nights in our van, it was so easy to move. now with a young kiddo it makes more sense to "set up camp" a bit longer and settle in.
A friend just gave me a bell tent (Sibley 400) and I am really stoked on it. Its the kinda thing I would have never bought myself but now that i have it I am so excited about it. It is vey spacious, pretty great for our family of 3 + dog. i like the idea of adding a stove to it for hot tenting...
Ok im sure your all disappointed this isn't a list to all the must have items for your truck. I'll leave it up to you to surprise your hardworking, loyal, unconditionally (ok one condition, feed them oil and gas) loving Ranger.

So much fun, it was offroad camp for adults with disposable income! 2 full days in the desert testing the limits getting stuck and learning a ton with a legend. The stories around the campfire were worth the price of admission.
I think Bill travels a lot to teach. If you can get a group he may come out to you, worth reaching out to see what his minimums are and how far out he travels.

I took a 4x4 driving / recovery training course with Bill Burke we buried a fully loaded E350 to the frame on the steep incline of a sand dune it was amazing how effective the pull pal and some traction boards were.
