Ha! Saw those yesterday as well. I think they refurbish wheels and flip them. They have multiple sets.How many options for Tremor style wheels were there?
Looking around I see three styles

Anthony,So how many people from here contacted them then? lol What seriously bothers me though is that the tech during the used car inspection AND the sales team didn't notice the wheel. I can't blame them for missing the switches since it seemed to be a random used car dealer perhaps?
Really, the photographer even took a picture of the wheel and they didn't say anything? Reminds me of the time I did a PDI on a new ~2004 Mercedes C-coupe and the passenger seat had a cloth seat when the rest was leather. Cloth wasn't even a USA option lol

It's starting to look like an unreported accident and apparently a deanship that doesn't know their product. Now with all this new info I'm really hoping Jacob calls me back. lolRabbit hole is getting deeper and deeper lol.
They were very nice and Jacob really sounded like he wanted to help me that I almost feel bad. lol But I think they should know what they're selling has been altered and need to disclose this. He was really perplexed about the wheel being different.Kinda feel bad for this dealership, being that they seem to be a small independant...kinda lol. Just tryna make a buck and then we show up.

He thought it might have been the spare but I told him it's not and have had 2 Rangers. Now we wait. I may have, I feel I have told it before here. Maybe on a QC issue or something.Anthony,
Did you post about that cloth seat before? I swear I’ve read that somewhere.
That wheel is a strange thing for sure - maybe they had a full-size spare mounted on a Sport wheel and it was in rotation but nobody noticed. Not sure how that got by anyone cleaning the wheels before the pics were taken. Maybe they did notice and just didn’t say anything.
Also, there was early discussion on the forum about simply buying the upfitter switch panel and putting it in the dash tray of non-Tremor Rangers but I think folks determined it couldn’t be done. Makes me think that removing the switch panel and putting a tray in its place would be the same.
@ctechbob
I think someone had an at-fault wreck and didn’t go through insurance. I think you might be onto something with the VIN tag swap suggestion. The dash tag would be easy enough to swap, if you’re putting in a non-tremor dash, no? If the mileage is stored in the instrument cluster, and it’s nice and low, that’s a strong incentive to not swap those parts over, as required.
Was probably purchased at auction, as-is. So their tech probably should have AT LEAST caught the wheel. Maybe they bought it with the switches missing (but wiring there) and just looked up an XLT and got the trim/tray part. Not often manufacturers add switches and such like Ford did there.Yeah, I wonder who would be responsible in a situation like this (besides the original owner that they couldn’t even get payments out of).
Who’s on the hook - the lender who took possession, the repo broker that wholesaled it, the poor dealer that ended up with it?

Or....they saw the price of the switches and was like "F-that, just put a dash tray in it."Was probably purchased at auction, as-is. So their tech probably should have AT LEAST caught the wheel. In an early forum thread, a guy offered to trade the switch pack with another member for the tray. The tray is like $32. As John Dunbar said, “Good trade”. The thread was about whether or not the switch pack would fit into the earlier (2019 & 2020) non-tremor Rangers. Folks wanted to buy the upfitters and plunk them into the dash. There was no definitive answer.Or....they saw the price of the switches and was like "F-that, just put a dash tray in it."

According to secret source(can't reveal, sorry) two VIN decode shows grille & wheels are original equipment from factory(both Tremor equipment as far as I'm aware). One decode suggests it came with dash upfitter switches & "TREMOR" decals, other decode doesn't. It's odd, but Ford VIN decode can be a hit & miss, especially last few years by my observation. It also mentioned package 3 or equipment 3 or something like that. Maybe that's the Tremor package? I don't know.
