Is the muffler covered under power train warranty?

I searched the forums but didn't find anything about this.

Just noticed water drops on my driveway, and found the bottom of the muffler around the end cap seal is wet. I don't hear any exhaust leak, but it's obviously got a hole in it. Is this covered? My 5 year powertrain warranty expires in March.

ETA: Google says the muffler *may* be covered under either the emissions warranty, or the corrosion warranty, which appear to be 8 years?

BTW, there are no mods.

There is a factory small hole in the muffler to allow water to drip out of the exhaust system. If you see just a small hole, it is normal and factory made.

Ah, thanks. This is the first time I've noticed leaking, but it's coming from the very bottom of the end cap, on the back.

Those are there so it drains out and keeps it from rusting out while still under whatever warranty it has.
I am aware of this and had posted this info for the OP.

Yup, I have a nice little blackish water spot in my garage where the water drips during idle that I have to clean every so often, freaked me out the first time I noticed it

The holes are for water drainage.

From condensation, but primarily from the water produced from the catalytic converter when the hydrogen (from unburnt fuel) bonds with the O2 (that is left over from the NO2 when the catalytic converter rips the Nitrogen Atom from the NO2 molecule).

You really need those drip holes!

At first I thought this guy was yanking our chain

Condensation draining/dripping is normal, the more you let it idle the more it will drip until it is warm

Mine drips almost enough to start filling a glass since I am on the ethanol...
