2019 Lariat, had some "fall on its face" under slight acceleration, up hill, only when under 35*, 1 to 3rd, or 3rd to 4th.
Dealer knew of issues, so they did the 1,2,3 before total overhaul, all new parts including drum. This was about 50K. Honestly, the issue didn't bother me much, as it's rare I had those conditions. But after reading the stories on here, I decided to take it in for a looksee.

Yeah, I’m going there
This is to try to get an actual feel for the percentage of forum members who have actually had to have transmission repairs / replacements ( warranty or not) as compared to those who have never had their Ranger in for transmission related issues.
We often read that it’s only a small percentage of owners who have issues resulting in repairs or replacements. Hopefully this sheds some light on that claim. Thanks for participating
148,000 and not even a sneeze. Had ford to trans flush at 90k.

I couldn't be more pee-oleed. 87k miles on a '19 Ranger and the dealer said the stuttering issue resulted in the 25-2134 TSB. 5k to rebuild, 8k for a reman, 9k for new replacement. I have owned 7 Fords: Aerostar, Windstar, Ranchero, 2 previous Rangers, this one and a '19 Mustang. Can I expect the Mustang tranny to also go belly-up, since it is the same as the ranger? I can guarantee I am getting rid of both ASAP. My Ranger also cost me 1k + to have the stupid heater/air conditioner diverter thingie replaced because it warped and wouldn't let the baffles turn correctly. GRRRRRR

Is there anyone at corporate that can help with this?

On the TSB parts list it shows the JR3Z-7H351-B hub assembly. Does this contain the cdf drum I hear is the main problem?

Transmission rebuilt at 36k with all the updated parts.

I had taken it in several times for shifting issues and always got the No Problem Found response, only for me to amazingly Find it on my way home

I also had the blender door issue and that also took multiple trips to get resolved.

I was fully planning on dumping the truck if it came back with another No Problem Found diagnosis when I took it in last time.

Thankfully the transmission failed the TSB test procedure and I provided a video of the blender door issue with 72 degrees coming out of the driver vents and 120 degrees out of the passenger vents.

It took Ford WAY too long to finally address these well known issues, and I would've been on the hook for $7k+ in repairs if not for the extended warranty.

I like my truck, but Ford has managed to convince me that this is my last Ford. :(

*sigh* I am going to hit a well-reviewed tranny shop in town to see if they have better news. Doubtful, but I gotta try.
Here’s some used transmissions of 2023’s near you that will have the updated cdf drum in them. Just have to find someone to do the swap. I’m assuming yours is a 4x4.

Only problem is who builds one any better.? I’m not sure anyone builds a reliable truck anymore. At 148,000 absolutely trouble free miles on my 2021 Ranger, I cross my fingers every time I turn the key just waiting.

Currently? Nobody.

My complaint with Ford is not that they didn't handle the issues, just that it required an awful lot of weeping and gnashing of teeth to get them to cover something that was a very well known and documented issue.

All the manufacturers seem to be having issues right now, but not all the manufacturers are turning a blind eye to their customers.

It's a shame that Ford won't take the time to look through these forums, too really get a feel for how their customers feel when these problems arise. Just my two cents.

Sad but true.
