10R80 transmission “stuck” between gears

100K miles may be a milestone but def not considered high mileage in my book. Vehicles in the past have 3x that amount. A bunch of used Rangers for sale on a website doesn't equate to them all being reliable vehicles. What prompted them to sell those Rangers in the 1st place. If I had something working really well then I would certainly keep it, especially in today's market

Agreed. Also, most used vehicles don’t show on the Carfax “transmission replacement” because not all shops report the info to Carfax. Plenty of used Fords out there with shiny, new trans (at least on Diesels I looked at) but no paper trail whatsoever.

All I know is I’m a sample size of one and if the 10R80 goes out at 95k, I’d be unhappy also.
