Friggin’ rodents did a better job on my wiring harness than that. Take a deep breath before you call Ford CS back.![]()
He tried to solder one , gave up on the other...
Higher up on this thread, I gave you a link to the socket and pigtail. Not Ford, but if it were me, I would use it.I sent the pics to the service writer and what a hack job and THEY NOW need to replace it and they are FREAKING!!! Service manager already called 2 times and I told him I was too angry to talk but he wants me to bring it over NOW ! But when i asked for what he wasn't sure ... NO WAY I would let them rip out my headlight and whatever goes with that , im off to find a damn socket that will hold the bulb and I will CONCRETE the damn thing in place if the little tabs won't hold it ...
I just struck out at the scrapyard so im about to do that very thing, but im not telling those guys, gonna torture them and the warranty people for a while...Higher up on this thread, I gave you a link to the socket and pigtail. Not Ford, but if it were me, I would use it.

Those look like the tabs are close , thinkthose would work?
I wouldn't be able to tell without seeing it in person. How do these compare to your socket? The one I referred to says it fits your 2021 Ranger if you put in your vehicle information and check its fit. It's your call.![]()

I just order the one you gave me, it's gonna go in there... yep, it's going in there...I wouldn't be able to tell without seeing it in person. How do these compare to your socket? You wouldn't cause any damage if they are reversed. I would pull the socket on the other head light turn signal bulb and see which filament is lighting for the turn signal and wire the other one to light the same filament.![]()
It's working !!!
I have green to green
White to yellow
Brown to red
But before I wire it semi permanent, can.the white /brown be reversed? Is the correct filament flashing ? I was gonna switch them but with my luck, I'd fry something...
@RangerBill, you think its safe to proceed sir ?
If you have some dielectric silicon grease, I would put a thin coating on the O-ring on the replacement bulb socket. It may help to make it easier to remove the next time.![]()

It's here!!!
The tabs are not exactly the same so I did a "test fit" to see if it would lock in place ... it went in with a little jiggle here and there and then it did mostly lock it ! Great ! (I thought) , when i went to remove it , not so great, damn thing was stubborn as hell even though it felt loose and like it was lined up with the tabs but it no coming out ! I didn't want to yank on wires and started freaking a little as I didn't put a bulb in it yet
...
Right before I was getting ready to remove the damn battery for better access , it came out, sono biggie there ...
Im getting ready to test wire it up, I "assume " the greens are the same and I've got a 50/50 shot on the other ones...
How about using the parking light to compare instead of the turn signal? It's hard to tell as its blinding me , but I'll investigate further... maybe a picture at the right time...
