After, I filled my truck I went to start it and the low oil pressure light came on. It was in limp mode, took it to the shop where they changed the oil solenoid and that made no difference. Not sure of the codes, but was advised there were multiple ones. The diagnostic stated that it is running extremely high psi and now the added bonus is that the powertrain light came on. Truck is a 2019 Ford Ranger CLT 4x4 about 65,000 miles. I have had this vehicle since November of 2019 and this is the first time that it has had any problems with the motor. I do regularly maintain this vehicle so it came as a surprise. Right now waiting for a variable oil pump to see if that is the problem. Any advice or thoughts?

Is there some sort of oil pressure regulator, or is it part of the pump?

Have you checked the wiring harness that goes to the engine cooling fan? If that is damaged, it blows the fuse (F12 in the battery junction box) that also feeds the variable oil pump pressure regulator solenoid. This could cause your high oil pressure if this solenoid has no power to regulate the oil pressure. Also check fuse F12.

Right now not a clue. Going for a var oil pump replacement.

The wiring harnass was the first place that we looked. It did look a little chewed up. Right now I am going to talk to the mechanic and varify that they did look at F12. Thanks for the help.

Before you go back to the dealer, make sure you take @RangerBill's suggestion and check out the fan wiring harness and fuse. It may save you a lot of money.

If the fan wiring harness is chewed up, that is likely the cause of your issue and F12 is likely blown. I would hold off on the oil pump replacement, as that is probably not the issue.

I agree, when F12 is blown for the oil pump defaults to max flow to protect the engine. That's where the high oil pressure is coming from. There are a couple other systems I don't remember that are tied to that same circuit. Probably the other codes that were thrown. Make sure the hose supporting the fan harness is still good.

Fuse 12 - may or may not be blown, but with evidence of wire damage, address that (FIRST) then if issue still remains, wiring checks need to be performed to isolate the issue.
This voltage circuit is shared

Note: The Variable Oil Pump is mechanical and the electric control is actually a (Oil Pressure Control Solenoid)
As stated above, if the solenoid fails, the mechanical default if (full oil pressure), but it also defaults into limp mode as its lost pressure control.

Note 2: This diagram is only showing the power feed circuit, and nothing else.

The mechanic has said all of the fuses are good. Solenoid is good. Just waiting on the oil pump which I hope comes today.

Keep us posted please OP. This is an odd one if it does end up being the pump.
Good luck with it!

Then if they have it apart and the oil pan off already, might as well replace it, hopefully it is a valid diagnosis and fix.
Yeah, I am hoping they are not just throwing parts at it
