Only had my truck since Oct '20. Within the past week, within 3ish minutes of starting the truck, a low oil pressure warning flashed on. Only 7k miles only had 1 oil change. Pulled over & shut it off, checked the dipstick to see if perhaps I was leaking or the dealership did something stupid. It was fine. When I restart, the alert goes away and has not come back on.

Now this has only happened twice, but slightly concerning. Could this be a wacky sensor or something more sinister to monitor? Thanks.

It could possibly a faulty oil pressure sensor. Or there could be something more serious going on. Definitely need to take it in as soon as you can to have it diagnosed and repaired. Have them run a complete scan on the system as it may have stored the low oil pressure alert.

Naturally have a few hour drive for dove opening weekend coming up. Have not noticed any strange behavior, feels or sounds with the engine, so wondering if the computer is being wacky. That is no good either.

Definitely get it checked out. Our trucks only have a oil pressure switch not a sensor. There is no way to monitor what it is doing through any ODB2 device or app. Maybe a loose/bad connection.
