Bought it October 2020. Just shy of 91k miles. So far so good! Only issue I’ve had was the bucking/surging issue. It was a cheap part to replace and took 15min. I definitely have anxiety about the 10r80 though lol. Especially with all the towing I do.
What was the bucking/surging issue ?

I purchased my truck new in 2020 being the last 2019 on the lot when the 2020s were rolling in. the only issue was a sensor by the gas tank that was changed under warranty. since then its been oil changes and tire rotations only. if I need to haul anything big or heavy, my utility trailer will do the job and the truck will pull that easily. love my ranger.

Yes, I notice this frequently as well. And on trails, the Ranger also works well since it's not as wide.

I say mostly as I wish it had heated seats/mirrors and 1 touch up/down on the P/S. Yes I know there's a kit to fix that, maybe one day. Other than an issue with the rear P/S "door" latch seal, and the P/S Door panel (Fords P/S assembly workers be slackin' ) all fixed under warranty, truck has been flawless.

Loving the ranger.

Picked it up Feb. 27th
Ordered it to get it just as I wanted it.

No towing yet, but have hauled landscape stone, mulch, lumber and dirt. Each item multiple times Accidentally overloaded it once with landscape stone. Truck had zero complaints.

Make no mistake, the 5G Ranger is a TRUCK.

I LOVE MY RANGER!!!!! Seriously. Freaking ridiculous how goofy I get over the thing. Love it.
L O V E it. It is not going anywhere. While I always keep my vehicles a long time, this one… I see no end for this one. 10R80 bites the dust? Well, Ford will be selling a new 10R80. This truck and I will get old (older in my case) together.

Ford F***ing Ranger!!!
:inlove:  :sunglasses:

I am definitely a fan of my Ranger XLT 4X4. I ordered a new Ranger in March of 2019. After waiting for months with no update for delivery, I found the almost exact truck that I had ordered at another dealer. The color and all the options I wanted plus Tech package. SOLD! I took it home and got my down payment back from the other dealer. The truck has had the HVAC box replaced and the TSB on the CDF replacement both under warranty.
It is a great truck and it's a keeper.

I was, but it was exhibiting trans issues after about 15k miles, developed a diff howl, and finally it gave me back problems because there was some weird isssue with the driver seat.

Much happier with my frontier, but hopefully who ever has the ranger now enjoys it and maybe the dealer flashed the trans or something.

Me thinks you bailed too quickly. But glad you are happy with the Frontier, whatever the hell that is!

The Ranger is absolutely the funnest, most powerful, fastest, versatile vehicle I have ever owned. With the Livernois tune the available power is insane and right there when I need it. The Gibson exhaust and GFP diverter valve helped top off the HP. No real trans issues yet, but if I start to develop symptoms, I would lean toward just getting a new trans. I could just go out tomorrow and pay cash for a new Ranger, but mine is set up so sweet, why? Oh yeah, just over 65k.

Tried two dealerships, Neither would give me time or day about the seat.
One didn't believe me when it shifted to 7th and straight into 1st, then back to 8th.

Kind of one of them, fuck it situations.
