So new to me 2019 Lariat 4cyl. 4x4 FX4 Stock truck.
I have measured the distance to the wheel lips on all four corners and it looks like it’s avg. 3” low in the front.
what Options do I have to level my truck?

Daily Driver/ some dirt roads from time to time is about it.

I think the bilsteins 5100 are my pick for an adj. shock, can I just install my new shock with the existing spring and call it good? I figure I need @2”-3” of lift to get level ?
id prefer not to purchase a complete kit front and rear shocks.
i dont want to replace UCA’s if possible, i can get a alignment when finished if needed.
just looking for some guidance from those who have done this already, Thanks, Sportz

I have some 5100s sitting in my garage right now. Im thinking 1” for me. Slight rake. 2” works with stock stuff any higher it might not align properly. I would bet 2” would make you pretty level.

I put the bilsteins on my ranger set at I think 1.4" I think they rode firmer than the stock suspension. I had 4 wheel drive so I didn't want to raise it too much to affect the drive shaft angles to reduce cv joint life. I think around 2" is the max you can go an get it to align without aftermarket upper control arms.

My 5100’s set at 1.8” gave it a very close setting as the 2” spacers on the top shock mounts. Truck still rides like a tank though but I deal. Looks tons better than the stock rake.

How do you know how much to initially set the height?
my front is 3” lower than the rear but I’m hearing 3” is to much without UCA.
if yours is at 1.8“ does that still give a little lower in front, about 1” ?
you said you can lower or raise the front without pulling the shocks off the front, is there a procedure to adjust them? Do you have to compress the springs to adjust them? Thanks, Sportz

At 2.5” from standard height you’re pushing into aftermarket UCA’s to achieve correct alignment.
I think 2” would be your go too. You’ll have a very very slight rake, but that’s ok just put some stuff in the bed and you’ll be completely level and won’t need UCA’s ?

I just wanted to go 3/4" to level it up a bit. The higher you go in the front, the bigger the hit to highway MPG. I measured to the center of the wheel opening front and rear. The guy that installed the front swore it went up 2" but the tape measure said .80". I went with Eibachs and they are better than I expected. Improved handling on the twisty mountain road that I run twice a week and handling over fire roads and pot holes is vastly improved. They are reasonably priced and come with the Eibach Limited Million-Mile Warranty. I would definitely do the rears too. 75% of the ride improvement was with the rear. You may find Bisteins rough on dirt roads. This is a great article that should help guide you. https://www.shocksurplus.com/blogs/news/leveling-strut-comparison-bilstein-vs-eibach-vs-fox

I did Bilstein 1.2, kept a little rake, looks great with slightly bigger tires added. Rides very firm though, firmer than stock.

I did Eibach, pro truck it. Got the 2.5" level in front without changing UCA's

Did you need the alignment done afterwards?
Did you add rear shocks or a spacer block?
Thanks,Sportz

Yes you need to align with new suspension level although mine was good. I did all 4 corners with the Eibach pro truck kit, didn’t need their front springs or new UCA’s. If you want more lift you use those, I only wanted 2.5” to level and it worked great. No spacers

the truck had 2” pucks on it when I bought it. It was time for new shocks when I got it and finally went with the 5100’s. i believe the two choices I was back and forth on was the 2.5” or the 1.8” that I ultimately went with. It turned out well for me on the rake but others may differ. As for adjusting it after install, no you can’t do that unless you pull and compress again. I personally think the 5100 for this truck is on the stiffer side especially being I have them front and rear. However, they are more budget friendly than some of the others from what I remember. One thing I really like about them is the body roll they eliminated. That part is excellent.
