Following this, I don’t have transmission issues yet, but wanted to be aware of what the issues are. I have a 2019 With 65K now, and expect at some point I will need to have this done. Where would I find the TSB for this issue? Thanks
yea I’ve read about dealers giving owners crap for trans repairs and or not being able to repair the problem. I guess for me, I would just repair and then sell the truck, move on to a different truck.
I’ve read a lot of the new trucks all seem to have major issues of some kind or another...
I think the gaurd on the tank is to prevent small rocks or some light debris from punching a hole in the tank, it’s not robust enough to prevent a boulder or tree stump from damaging the tank. I don’t off road that much so probably not an issue for me.
I do recall the hysteria about the pinto...
Yea I’ve read about the current issues with the trans in the rangers/f150 hopefully I won’t have the shifting problems in mine, I opted for the extended warranty for that reason. 5yr.100k
Yea I really like the truck, I was just complaining about the lack of small items ford decided were good ideas, no trans dipstick, and cramped filter access, plastic covers etc. I have a 2017 King Ranch f350 6.7L for pulling my fifthwheel.
It Is equipped with much better access and quality.
My new to me 2019 Lariat has some peculiar features I didn’t expect.
i finally got a chance to crawl under and inspect more closely “ Fords better Idea”
first off what’s with the oil filter location?
They put a oil drain funnel to catch the oil from the filter, when it drains out during removal...
I have interest in this pan also, so I will follow along to see how it turns out.
I’m about to order the MBR trans dipstick mod, for a future planned trans fluid drain/fill.
my 2019 has 65,000 miles I don’t know if any trans maint has been done at this point. I have the carfax report shows...
How do you know how much to initially set the height?
my front is 3” lower than the rear but I’m hearing 3” is to much without UCA.
if yours is at 1.8“ does that still give a little lower in front, about 1” ?
you said you can lower or raise the front without pulling the shocks off the front...
So new to me 2019 Lariat 4cyl. 4x4 FX4 Stock truck.
I have measured the distance to the wheel lips on all four corners and it looks like it’s avg. 3” low in the front.
what Options do I have to level my truck?
Daily Driver/ some dirt roads from time to time is about it.
I think the...
How do you know how much lift is needed?
Is there Some way to measure ?
did your pro cal tuning reduce your gas mileage very much?
can you say how much the tuning Cost?
thanks Sportzfann
I was thinking of adding the leveling kit, but not sure how to measure how much lift is needed to level the front. Can leveling be done without a new shocks and springs? I saw level blocks on line, but not sure if those will work, or cause other issues. I won’t be changing tires until later...
I am looking at tailgate damper, I wanted to level the truck (front only) and thought I wouldn’t need the rear modified, not sure?
so far the truck rides smoother than my Dually ?. Wife insisted on the running boards like the Dually has ( arm twisting not needed)
Just checking in on what is happening with Gen 5 rangers,.
so far I’m liking the new truck looking at upgrades a leveling kit, amp research steps, bed cover, etc. possibly getting Forescan to silence some of the chimes etc.
