Went to the local hole in the wall tire place near me today and they stated after they tried to install them that I need more than my 3.5” lift. They said I might need a 6 inch lift with cut fenders or 8 inch lift with uncut fenders. They only wanted 50 bucks per fender to cut, but said I would have to get them repainted afterwards. Still pondering my choices……… 40”x 13.5”…………

This is what I'm here for. I'll buy a fender cut.

Nice job getting all 4 of those in the bed. Getting them on the truck though might be a tad more challenging

Is this going to be a pavement princess? If not there is no way the stock ranger axle can handle a 40" tire with any real world usage. You'll need to throw a Dana 60 on the rear end, or maaaaybe you can get away with some chromeoly half shafts.

As for the front end I think you'll have to make some custom mods to keep the halfshafts from snapping.

Also plan to re-gear your differentials, and maybe transfer case.

EDIT: Missed the joke. I'm too much of an engineer.
A Pessimist sees the glass as half empty
An Optimist sees the glass as half full
An Engineer sees the glass as twice the volume necessary for the specified quantity

Go ahead and cut up your nice Ranger with a sawzall to fit 40’s. We’re all watching.
When you start with your ‘local hole in the wall tire place’, gives the idea you’re on the cheap.
Sure ok, we’re all watching.
Its your Ranger to destroy… Thinking mudhole rock beater (there were plenty at the Hammers in the Toyota fashion).

Or build it like this!!! $$$ SAS swap?
Get after it!! (And good luck ??)
