Now I can see it.

Btw...great tunes! Styx is one of my favorite bands.
Shows our age, but yes Styx, Journey, Foreigner, Rush, Kansas and others were great bands. I still enjoy listening to that type of music today, Sirius is good for that on long road trips.

I've seen all of them in concert except Rush. For some reason I was never a fan of them or Yes but loved all the others including many from the 60's - 70's like Steppenwolf & Creedence. Then came the 80's hair bands and the 90's grunge bands which were (IMHO) the last great genres.

Forgot about Yes, really liked Relayer have not heard them in years. I I will need to do some searching and find some of their songs. Music from the past is so much better then todays stuff.

When I was in high school Boston did a concert in our auditorium. I think tickets were $1.00. Wildest concert I ever attended was Meatloaf in a very small venue near us. He just kept getting crazier and uglier as the night went on. We also had a small coffee house near us that guys like Don Mclaughlin, Pete Segar, Arlo Guthrie and many more like that got started in. I miss the small venues with great shows I grew up with.

Boston was the first concert I ever went to in '79. I still have the stub (packed away) and it was $8.00 for general admission at the Springfield Civic Center. Aerosmith and J Geils use to play their all the time and have seen each of these bands at least a dozen times. Not sure if you remember but The Rolling Stones use to set up and play a dive bar right before kicking off their tours. One night they played up in Sturbridge, MA (it might have been Southbridge) in this little hole in the wall bar. One of my friends just happened to be up there because his dad had a cabin not far from there and got to see them jamming that night.

I saw REO several times, don't remember any of it. Saw a super concert at Bush Stadium, don't know who played it.

One Friday afternoon my wife called me at work and said get your axx home right now, I have a surprise. Left work early and headed to the local radio station WPDH. She had won 2 tickets to the Stones that night including a bus ride by being the 10th caller. About 50 people on a big greyhound bus that was sponsored by Bud Light ?. First stop was a 711 and we cleaned out the entire beer cooler with everyone buying a case (I got stuck with Miller light that really tasted like skunk for not being off the bus till it was almost empty). Then off to the Meadowlands. Was pouring by the time we arrived with everyone feeling good. 4th row center seats that were amazing but they had put tarps on the field to protect the stadium and we were standing in about 5 inches of water with it pouring the entire concert. A woman sitting next to me said smoke this and that was the last the rain bothered me. What a show and totally unexpected with no planing was the best part. The buss ride home was quiet with everyone passed out. It was a memorable experience being so close to the stage.

Scab FTW!

Where were you on New Year’s Eve 1999, at the turn of the century?

I was at a party at Robbie Bachman’s house - he had this really cool out building on his property where he used to host parties - it had three separate sections; a pub-like area, a quiet lounge, and a larger room for dancing - complete with a plexiglas enclosed DJ booth, fog machine, spinning lights, and a mirror ball.

He was in New Orleans performing and his childhood buddy (a friend of mine) was house-sitting. Robbie told him he should have a New Year’s Eve party, so he did.

So, basically, it’s just like with @AzScorpion. I‘ve never met him but I partied at his place when he wasn’t there. ?

Parties are always better when the home owners aren't there?
