2020 Lariat. Today, several of us went to the grocery store. We are out of town, BTW, so I don't have my spare fob. When we were unloading groceries the truck alarm went off for some reason (first red flag). The fob was on the dash, so I grabbed it and shut the alarm off, then tossed it back on the dash. And, my phone was inside the truck also, for future reference.
We got unloaded, shut the doors and went inside. Later, I came out and grabbed the handle... locked. Both doors locked. Fob on the dash staring at me. Phone in the tray laughing at me. Can't open the truck. Yes, that shouldn't happen with the fob inside the truck. Second red flag.
Went inside, got my wife's phone thinking I'll install the ford app, connect to my account, and unlock the truck. App won't let me finish the setup until I start the truck.
Ugg. Had to call someone to unlock the truck...took 2 minutes. $150 bucks. Guess it's better than smashing the window.
I took the emergency key out of the fob at put it inside the house, just in case.
