Nice mower!

Oh man do I miss my Hustler Zero Turn. Had mine from '02 to'05. Did an acre 3x in 45 min. Golf Course quality lawn care! I even had them put my name in a rear bumper. Kept that when I had to let it go.
3X in 45 mins? Now I want one! ?

They are pretty badass! It was just as Zero Turn movers were getting noticed. It was a commercial mover, and WOW turn on a dime, go fast, and mow like it's a golf course. I drove the neighbors crazy, making the yard look good and theirs was... well it needed help. ?

you are right....the fix does not require Forscan either, I got a hold of a guy at Morimoto that knew what was happening, and he said I could try the Forscan to change to factory LED settings however, I would run into.....hyper flashing and other weird quirks, but the real answer was below: This may have been said in a previous post and I didn't understand but now I do, once installed on the left wheel control.
1) Left arrow
2) Settings
3) Vehicle
4) Lighting
5) Uncheck Daytime Lights

boom they work as expected, I hope this whole thread helps others as much as it did me....

Thank you All for your insight on this, every post here got me to the right answer in the end.
Thank you for this info. Installed my lights about 8 months ago and never thought the 3 projector bulbs should be on with the LED's during the daytime, with the headlight switch in auto. I actually called Morimoto a few days after the install and they said the bulbs on with LED's was correct during daylight hours. This never did sit right with me, what's the point of the outer LED's if everything is on all the time, but time went on and I forgot about it. Anyhow, thanks for the info. This should be pinned some place as I'm sure others have no idea how to correct it.:beer::please:

I agree! This is great information for someone who puts aftermarket headlights in, does not have Forscan and uses the AUTO position on their switch. In the US the only time the OEM DRL settings come into play is with the switch in AUTO and the transmission NOT in park.

My switch lives in the AUTO position. I also have used Forscan to set my fog lights as my DRLs, so my low beams do not come on at half power. I also include my parking lights as part of my DRLs. That way I always have tailights on no matter the weather conditions, and while towing. So. I would hope by using the OEM LED settings I can get them to work like the OEM Lariat lights. Without the extra harness.

yeah
Since you do not have Forscan:
I would just leave it as is, it's working, that's the end goal.
If it starts working incorrectly, then venture into the Forscan changes.

If you had Forscan, then it would be a quick 5 minutes, make the changes.
Check Operation, do they Hyper-Flash or operate any differently as compared to the added tapped power way?
If so, then keep them with tapped power, if they operate normally, keep the Forscan way, if they fault later down the road, switch back to the added power way.

The mechanic side of me, would want to at least try the Forscan operation, but as long as they are working now, that's all that truly matters.
After talkin w a few neighbors about it I've come to find out they have it for their trucks, so now I can do that if needed, but as you pointed out it's working let's let it ride so long as it's good to go

I have a pair of XB's on my 2021 Sport. We installed these and got them working with the fuse tap and unchecking the "DRL" box in the dash settings. The issue I'm having is the start up sequence only works on the drivers when in "Auto" When turning the key with the light switch off, I get normal startup sequence. These lights are working correctly in all other modes and even auto works correctly except for stertup. Another thing I noticed is that on occasion, there is no startup sequence at all.

So my question is, is there a setting in forscan that may be causing a conflict? My buddy had an idea that there might be a "Halogen/LED" switch inside forscan. And does anyone have the settings that need to be checked in forscan since early in the thread, the OP is asked if he got the correct forscan setting. It's just that I didn't see if anyone has posted the correct FS settings. Thanks.

As the friend, I think @airline tech confirmed in post #19 my hunch. Or at least we should try it :

Mine do the same and I think it has to do with the fact that one light comes on a touch before the other. I've talked to someone on here that replaced their Lariat with these lights and he does not have that delay. I've been meaning to mess with FORSCAN some more, but have not gotten around to it.

I wish they had made these for the Lariat so we could PnP and just adjust FORSCAN. I didn't even use the fuse box under the hood as it breaks the nice seal to keep crap out, so I ran it into the cabin and used the fuse box under the dash.

Thanks...I appreciate your comment since now I know others have the same issue. I contacted "Headlight Revolution" about it and they seem aware of the problem, but haven't researched the proper Forscan settings as of yet. They were ready to send me a replacement but I think the problem would not go away....and after more explaining from me, they agreed. (The startup seq works on both lights in manual mode). When I asked them about contacting Morimoto directly, they said that they are Morimoto tech support as Morimoto is their parent company. We will fool around with Forscan to see if we can clear this faulty startup and repost if we found a solution.

FWIW, I initially wanted the Morimoto XB’s but the price was a bit too steep. I took a chance on these VLAND Matrix Triple LED’s (Morimoto XB style look-a-likes) for $400./pr. Installed them myself and they were true plug and play. Perfect OEM fit with no gaps or trimming required. No hyperflash. These lights replaced the Halos on my XLT. No mods required through Forscan what so ever. Pretty Happy with them.

I am looking to replace my lights and was searching the forum. I stumbled on to you post and wondered. Are they still working well? Seems like a great option for me.

I can tell you the lights are great. But not sure how to rationalize the startup seq not working correctly. Functionally, these lights kick ass in low beam mode with the cutoff line. High beam is slightly disappointing as the light spread is less impressive. I'm just really impressed with the low beams (w/ fogs) to the point of not needeing high beams. And nobody gets pissed in the meantime. But we can't peomise the bells and whistles, which is really a shame. FWIW.
