What’s your favourite (non-tailgate damper) mod you’ve done, for under $100?

Better late than never...I'm freshly on my second 5g Ranger and having a do-over, since I didn't get around to doing much on the first unit. This thread has given me a list of quick and easy to-do's, thanks everyone...tailgate damper ordered!

My little contribution - the $15 of marine carpet I bought to cut to shape for all the interior storage nooks and crannies is one of my favourite low cost additions. Also the $30 dome light I bought from a wreckers for the submarine lighting it contained. Arguably a waste of a spare fuse, but I learned a lot about modern BCMs before I conceded to tapping the slot!

1. Sun Shade - my truck is parked with the sun blazing through the windshield all day. This was my 2nd most recent purchase for the truck and probably one of the best for just a few dollars.

2. Tailgate damper - Sorry! Yep. It makes opening the tailgate with your hands full so much easier!

3. Center console armrest cover - it makes it much more comfortable and less likely to get tore up.

4. Traction boards - I bought the Xbull brand off Amazon. Just a little insurance in case I get stuck!

5. Fire Extinguisher - just in case!

6. IFAK - (Individual First Aid Kit) Just in case, again!

7. Small hatched/emergency combo tool - More just in case! I've actually used it both on duty to clear a tree from the highway and off road to clear a tree across a trail.

8. Ignition Bezel Trim Ring - Just a couple of bucks and an annoying problem was solved!

9. Small foldable seat covers - I bought these when I had a boat and lake house to keep my seats dry after fun activities on the water. I am still using them on the way home from the beach! THey are small, but cover the seat and fold up small enough to tuck under the seat when I don't need them.

It's from a Ford Focus XR5, my other ride. I've been in love with that car since the day I bought it 15 years ago and this has always been one of my favourite feel-good features in it. Parts were always rare and expensive for it but finally it's of an age where nobody cares and there are plenty of them sitting around wrecking yards, so it wasn't hard to find.

Pretty simple, what sub-$100 mod, that you’ve done to your ranger, has made the biggest difference to your truck, or, have you got the most enjoyment from?

It’s a hard question if you’ve done a few.

Mine would have to be the black front & rear Ford badges. Made a bigger than expected difference, to the look of the truck.

Australia mate!

The first, and only, thing, that has ever been cheaper in Australia, than in the US.
Did you need to adjust or recalibrate your backup camera after the tailgate badge swap?

My favorite <$100 mod is my black chrome RANGER lettering that I put on the tailgate; About $70 IIRC. A close second is my console tray that cost about $17. I bought an engine cover for mine shortly after buying the truck, based in part from the reviews on this forum. At the time (2021) Ford Parts had them and the mounting studs for about $90.

I have many mods under $100 but I'll start with a few:

1-6" LED bar lights inside of Ford Perf lower grill slots...I use them as DRL
2-Custom fit Oracal red vinyl "Tremor" grill inserts
3-DIY Raptor amber lights
4-Slider running lights
5-Rear triple red LED center markers
