They did all the ordering.Awesome, let us know how it goes.
Did you take the new bolts and nuts to them as well?
Does anyone know what the new bolt and nut part numbers are?

I didn’t order the nuts but here’s part numbers for bolts and splash guard. Parts should arrive today might try to install later todayAwesome, let us know how it goes.

Had to anyway going to install new PPE pan and new trans fluid soon just waiting on filter seal.
But the problem with the shield from what I can figure out is it attaches behind the alternator and it’s extremely tight.

It’s behind the turbo and pipe. For easier installation might have to remove turbo and pipe.

You can barely see the alternator from the top and it doesn’t help I have mishimoto catch can and hoses are also in the area
From what I can find online you have to disconnect and remove the rubber boot on the positive terminal.

This procedure is for the Bronco 2.3L.
Don’t know what I was thinking. It attaches to the CAC outlet pipe I think it’s part of the EVAP system. But it needs to be removed for I can see behind alternator.Uh, turbo is on the passenger side of the engine
Definitely have to go from the bottom looking into taking off driver wheel and one of those rubber flaps. Just to see better and a little easier to installSeems like you had way better access from below, no? Why not go after it that way?
wow...this is involved. thanks for trying to figure out how to do it!Removed the flap no help except to let light in.![]()
From the bottom is the way to gojust not sure if this part will actually work on Rangers without some modifications. The part is originally for Broncos. Or remove alternator and put it together at same time.![]()
I think this brass spacer on shield![]()
Goes on this stud on bottom of alternator![]()
And other attachment point in here on top of alternator![]()
Here’s a video to see how tight it is might have to trim some off the back to make it easier to install or wait until it goes out and install during replacement.

Were you ever successful with this?Removed the flap no help except to let light in.![]()

No I’ve been working out of town don’t have much time to work on truck anymore. From what I think it will work might have to take alternator out and install it together at same time. If you don’t have 4x4 it should be pretty easy to install because the FDU (front drive unit) is in the way. the space is extremely tight a mechanic might have a trick to install, I’ll try to get to it this winter when I install my Long range America fuel tank. Were you ever successful with this?
