Well today definitely marks some kind of bad luck of sorts.

After two and a half years of having it The 93 Pathfinder is officially toast. As I was heading home from lunch I ended up getting hit by a f****** Dodge caravan minivan that I believe tried to beat the light and order to make a left turn hit one other car and then ran straight into my Pathfinder. Other drivers were not able to get their story straight and therefore the police are currently having to get video footage From the intersection that the accident took place. This all happened right after I ended up getting a green light and started to accelerate with one person in front of me. Once everything's figured out on who's at fault I will be working with my insurance to fight this to get as much as I can back since I put a lot of money into this vehicle. It was certainly a fun adventure vehicle that I found to be well worth having since it was very capable.

That said I am already looking at some other vehicles and will hopefully have an answer on what they might have in a few weeks

You are not wrong. I feel a little off already and it's been a few hours. What's funny is I already had a chiropractor appointment scheduled for tomorrow morning well before this happened

Dang Chris, I hope you are feeling OK. It's always a big hassle after an accident but physical things can be repaired/replaced but your health and well-being is most important.

You are not wrong about that sir. Unfortunately this one's a little bit beyond repair so a replacement is what's going to happen. Funny thing is I already have my eye on a 2012 Frontier that's nearby my house. It's already got the off-road package and fairly low mileage for the year. Funny thing is I've also been approved through my credit union, but I still got to look at the vehicle to make decisions

Oh man, Chris! I’m glad you’re not badly banged up.

It’s too bad about your Pathfinder - you put so much work into it.

I hope the stiffness and insurance issues from the accident disappear quickly and you’re able to get back on the road with a new ride soon.

Glad you're OK, Chris!

It might turn out to be your fault, though...the minivan clearly said "Dodge" right on the front of it...

Your cops still run Crown Vics; cool!

Ouch. Sad day.

Everyone should have a dash cam. Not only for yourself as the driver, but for others too. Yesterday I was headed to dinner with some friends and witnessed a car accident about a quarter mile down the road. Only saw the cars rebounding so wasn't sure what happened. Nobody else had stopped by the time I got there so I got out and brought some water over after calling 911. A young kid who seemed ok and an older lady who was in shock and said her head hurt. Stayed till paramedics arrived. Then went to see if my dashcam had caught it. Yup, if you zoom in, the lady pulled out of a side street turning left, stopped in the middle of the first two lanes while waiting for a spot to open up and young kid had nowhere to go. Hard to see, but the cop said "Yup, that's it". I provided it to the police and the kid for insurance purposes. No skid marks and the cars ended up in weird places so it would have ended up being his word agains hers.

Ouch!

Time to find a 2011-2015 Nissan Frontier or Xterra.

I see you're going to look at a 2012 Frontier.

Take note of the turning radius as it's YUUUGE.

The Xterra turns much shorter due to the wheelbase.

If I didn't have my Jeep I'd have an Xterra Pro4X with the 6 speed.

Based on your luck with vehicles, maybe look into a 1966 Buick Wildcat with oak 2x8 bumpers front and rear. ?

I had a 2016 and I can promise you that I remembered that oh so lovely turning radius bigger than a tractor trailer

Ouch! Hope your soreness doesn't get worse. Looks like the bull bumper guard absorbed a lot of the impact. . And, very fortunate you weren't driving the Ranger.

That sucks. Glad you're OK. Getting so hard to find replacement vehicles in good shape. Hopefully the insurance considers that. There are just too many distracted people behind the wheel these days.
