Thought id provide an update. The recommendations i received to use a ozone generator were spot on. Hard to believe how well it worked. No more mice have gotten into the truck that i know of. Now that the cold weather is behind us maybe they arent interested.

The zero weight oil being recommended on the GM 6.2 and toyota 3.4 seems to be having an effect on these engine failures. The zero weight oil is used for fuel economy, not for proper lubrication of engine.

It doesnt seem like anyone builds a quality truck. Even toyota who has built their reputation on reliability just issued another engine recall on the 3.5 liter in the tundra for newer models than the first one covered.
