The one i bought from amazon was around $50.
  3. Rodent nest plus dog food HVAC help

Thought id provide an update. The recommendations i received to use a ozone generator were spot on. Hard to believe how well it worked. No more mice have gotten into the truck that i know of. Now that the cold weather is behind us maybe they arent interested.
  4. Rodent nest plus dog food HVAC help

I bought a couple similar to your picture. I put them underneath the truck baited with peanut butter but havent killed any. Too chicken shit to stick my finger in it to find out if it works.

Yeah, i did the 1/4 hardware cloth on the two holes on the firewall, intake to air filter and the vents behind the back seats. Not sure how they are getting in.
  6. Rodent nest plus dog food HVAC help

What a pain in the ass. I dont know if the smell will ever go away.
  7. Leaned something new after 5 years of ownership!

From what i understand, engines with variable oil pressure like the 2.3 need to get the oil temps to operating temps faster than what just an idle provides. Damn. Great looking truck. What did you replace it with?
  9. GM Class Action Lawsuit. ....Early 10R80 Next?

The zero weight oil being recommended on the GM 6.2 and toyota 3.4 seems to be having an effect on these engine failures. The zero weight oil is used for fuel economy, not for proper lubrication of engine.
  10. Thoughts on buying a super high mileage Ranger

    Transmission is on borrowed time.
  11. What's Next?

Yep, fitz stick. Imo an after market transmission pan like a PPE or Mishimoto makes alot of sense.
  12. 10R80....Are they all ticking time bombs?

I bought a 2023 and have 47,000 trouble free miles. Zero issues with truck besides the mice issue discussed ad nauseum here. Fitz stick, PPE tran pan and 30k flushes. Will probably do the lubegurad treatment at the 60k flush. Truck hasnt seen a dealers lot since my purchase. Love it, just...

Agreed. Unless it's something I'm interested in I just watch the last minute. I've watched enough of his videos to know he is thorough.
  14. Anyone dealt with this dash rattle noise before?

I have an occasional rattle in my 23 tremor 45,000 miles. Started about a month ago. Annoying AF.
  15. Cheap hood strut recommendation

My 23 model year tremor didn't have struts. Didn't realize older models came with them.
  16. Windshield chips/cracks

There are differences in windshields just like any automotive part. Cheaper glass may have aberrations such as clarity issues.

I like project farms reviews. Here is one on dash cams.
  18. Who has the biggest pile ?

Does a big ole pile of snow count?
  19. Thinking about trading the Ranger

It doesnt seem like anyone builds a quality truck. Even toyota who has built their reputation on reliability just issued another engine recall on the 3.5 liter in the tundra for newer models than the first one covered.
  20. Where’s your dog?

I thought this was cool. My sister took a pic of jack thru the window and it turned out like this.
