I can't believe they even call the Mach-E a mustang. It's bizarre that they slapped the badge on the vehicle. The disrespect ?

Also non trucks...
File this one under the "Yea, I can be a smartass" thread. And did I mention that I really dislike those stupid non trucks?

Heading into town yesterday. It's a four lane divided highway. I'm in the left lane passing people. 65mph zone, I'm running 75, cruise on. New looking Accord with the "trunk lid omit" option comes up behind me. Guy gets on my ass like I was holding him up from a winning lottery ticket. I mean he was frustrated, bobbing and weaving behind me like he wanted to pass in the median and multiple times looking on the right. (On the right? Seriously dude? I'm in the process of passing people here.) When I had passed the last car on the right, I signaled and s l o w l y moved over into the right lane... having already ascertained that I had plenty of empty right lane in front of me. Soon as I'm 80% out of the left lane, this idiot nails his trunk lidless Accord to pass me. Well, me being me.... I planted my right foot. Of course the Ranger immediately responded with, "Cool! Let's go play!" Now imagine a big immature shit eating grin on the face of a driver in a blue Ranger. Yea, that'd be me.

I'm confused at trunk lid omit.

Some people call them a Ridgeline.

When you want a Ridgeline you simply check the box labeled "omit trunk lid" on the Accord order form.

I want to like the new ranger body’s because of the width…. But damn it! It looks like a damn Maverick to me. Anyone else think so?
I’ve been on the fence about picking up the Ranger raptor but the prices in my area have been going around $70+
And with my current build with the 2019 I’ve put in around $55k+ (including price of truck) and really like the gen5s body. I do have the AVD fenders and bedsides (not installed yet due to weather)
My only wish is to have the v6 from the raptor.
Nope

Heck in 2019 I looked at the 5G Ranger and wasn't sure about the styling then. Now everything looks the same across the board except maybe the Dodge trucks.

I guess our Rangers are the "Jan Brady's" of Ford's truck line, not as tall and long legged as Marsha , not as short and cute as Cindy...
Well Marsha is kind of a twat that can't take a punch and Cindy has an irritating lisp and she needs punched most if the time , so ?, give me Jan , the middle girl , they always got daddy issues anyway ?

There look too identical lol

Comparing-the-2023-Ford-Maverick-and-the-2024-Ford-Ranger-at-Bill-Brown-Ford.webp
Not just the grille, even the fender vents look pretty much identical.

V6 or no, as soon as I found that the new Ranger grew even bigger it was a hard no-go for me.

Mine is already borderline too big for a "mid-size".

Any bigger and it makes more sense to just get the F150.

Almost the same weight (4441 vs 4700lbs) with way more power and options than the Ranger.

In reality it's only a little bit bigger, hardly noticeable on the outside, but quite obvious on the inside. I park beside one at the railway station fairly often, the difference in size is not obvious. I doubt it would make any difference in driving it.

Only the F150 has gotten too big it won't fit in my garage. The weight has noting to do with it. I don't need more power.

I traded my 2011 ranger for my 2019 for the tow capacity nothing else. OK, some of the new features were a selling point. I do Miss my 5 speed stick though.

The 5G is almost as big as the F150 was when the discontinued the 4G.
