My Goodness, just plug an old, useless AC/DC adaptor in the 120v outlet and be done with it. And it's easily reversible.
Hold up! This a joke or are trying to say something like, "It tricks the Brain to think it is going to need the power to run thing"?

100% too. I did it with a nightlight LOL. If you want to test it yourself do this. Drive the car with Auto Start/stop enabled. pull up to a stop and let truck turn off. while waiting, plug in the Light. The car immediately powers on and never shut down again. Plus, when you turn off the engine manually the Nightlight turns off. HEHE. It is not sucking any juice out of the box. At least the software engineers at Ford knew what was up. I call that a Easter Egg.

It is way better than installing this POS for $80.

It's a thing. I have an old light duty phone charging adaptor with the cord cut off I plug into the outlet. It draws just enough current without actually charging anything to disable the ASS.

Which will be offset by the battery dying early due to sulfation, due to the State of Charge being set to 75%, due to Ford trying to get the gas mileage up to meet CAFE standards. Just like dominoes failing!

as someone posted - it takes a mere 10 seconds to unplug the sensor - and as I've mentioned it's been over 2 yrs since doing so and no ills effects - just the positive impact of extending the battery life. So believe it, I had the audacity to unplug, despite that Ford techs rubbish youtube vid about all the dire consequenses of doing so.

I've never bothered to mess with Forscan, esp since there is a simpler method.
I did the same thing also, I just disconnected the wire at the battery no more bms. But I installed a voltmeter in the cigarette lighter and I watched that very closely and it seemed like most times between 13.8 and 14 volts so all is well with the battery.

From the manual; Auto Start-Stop may not shut your engine off if your vehicle battery is charging, the engine is still warming up, or if you’re using heat or air conditioning.

Not sure if this works and haven’t tried it yet. When buying my 20’ Ranger salesman said plugging in a hitch receiver light/brake light keeps the ASS from shutting the engine down because it thinks there is a trailer etc being towed.

It disables rear parking sensors, cross traffic sensing, and messes with the blind spot detection. As well as giving you a bunch of warnings every time you start the truck. Just hit the button, less hassle.

Just found on Autoevolution that if you push the Stop/Start button 120 times you can disable the Stop/Start permanently.
You can unplug by battery or get a tune to disable it.

Kind of surprised at the efforts being put forth in order to avoid hitting one little button immediately after starting. ?‍♂
