Ford Pass Not Updating Oil Life

Had oil change at independent shop. The oil life in Ford Pass not updating.

Ford pass won’t update unless either you or the shop enters the info and an independent shop won’t have the ability (or desire) to do it. If you have your receipt, you can do it yourself.

Did the shop reset the oil life in the truck? Ford Pass is going to reflect what the truck says and if the shop did not reset Ford Pass will not reflect the oil change.

I'd bet a beer and some wings this is the issue.

Yep - You can reset it yourself easily - just takes a few button presses. with the steering wheel buttons.
But sometimes Ford Pass is a little slow in updating, you can see the last update time in the Ford Pass - This shows the last time Ford Pass - Communicated with the truck.

I will be doing that too. Ford says it is 10k miles, however, Ive seen where some say that oil should be changed 3k or 4k, despite synthetic oil being used?

I do that, too. My Ranger is either parked or driven 50-100 miles, and I change oil and rotate tires every 6,000 mi (Quick Lane Works PKG). My 2009 Mariner is the grocery getter, often only driven les than five miles at a time so it gets a works Pkg every 3,000.
The Ranger still shows ~60% oil life, but the Mariner will be down to 5% or less, so whatever voodoo it do is pretty accurate.

Yes there is dash control entry, yet with Ford Pass, Few vids out there, yet basically turn on to accessory, (I have key, not push button start) push down brake/fuel peddle, (hold down) I count to 60, will usually within 30 minutes update, if not, turn phone off/on, updates app. Ford Pass seems slow on updates.

If you go-to the "vehicle" tab on Ford Pass , at the top it tells you when last updated , if you swipe down, it will immediately talk to truck and update...

I do both. I watch the oil life indicator and change it out at 20% for a cushion of safety.
