When I received my new Lariat a few weeks ago, it only had 4. I asked the salesman and he said only 4 come with it. I showed in the ford advertisement that stated "6 cargo hold downs". He ordered two of them but they are on backorder. He was going to steal two from another truck but the ones delivered didn't have any. My guess is there is some manufacturing issue with them and they just ship the truck with what they have. I would guess a call or letter to Ford would correct this and they would be happy to send you the required amount once they have them. You pay $45K for a truck, you think they could supply these.

There's two more holes above the front ones that look very close to the same spacing as those two front ones. My hooks are all out right now since I had Line-X sprayed yesterday. I'll check it out tonight and see if it works, that way either a second set could be bolted on or I could move the original ones up a little higher.

The upper front holes are spaced just a little further apart than the lower front original tie down holes. The hooks can’t be moved up unless one was to slot the holes on the original tie downs or bend them a little to make them longer.

I won’t be moving mine up anyways after reading my tonneau cover instructions, it uses the top hole for one of the brackets.

Ford made a running build change to go from 6 box tie downs to only 4. Bulliten to dealers said any complaints of missing box tie downs are not warrantable and no parts are missing. Read this at work (ford dealer) about a week ago.

I'll say it again, that is really stupid
I have to agree. Almost as stupid as the missing trim around the ignition key.

Mine had just the 4...(2 front and 2 back of the bed.) Just holes near the middle wheel well areas.
My build was 8/8/2019.

That's weird. Which 4 do you have?
I have the front and middle. The "missing" ones would be on either side of the tailgate.

That's even weirder...so they're skipping random ones?

At least you don't have 3 on one side and one on the other side. I guess it should be easy to add them, while cursing the way ford decided to save a buck?

1) I don't have an ignition key :turkey:
2) a trim ring isn't a functional item, a missing tie-down actually affects the utility of the vehicle

I only hope Ford reads these forums and they understand that skimping on these tiedowns is really stupid. My guess still is there is some production issue on them and they need to get the trucks out of the assembly plants. Maybe we all should send a letter to Ford wanting to know what is the deal.

I purchased a swing out tool box and they have you remove the center one and use the screws and tiedown to bolt their bracket in place. If the middle one is missing, then you will not be able to bolt it in. I needed to remove one of the rear ones until my dealer gets me two more to replace the ones that were not on the truck. I really don't care what Ford told the dealer, the brochure said it comes with 6 and they will supply 6.
