Here's where I mounted the pigtail on mine. It is just pressure fit in one the holes of the honey comb of the grill. I have the tender hung on a hook on the wall next to the truck.
Thanks. Now if I can only find away to install this set up on my '22 Bronco Sport as I am having the same battery issues on it. The grill is not as easy to access from the engine compartment as the Ranger's. I am going to have to really study how that grill and front clip are attached to find...
Here is how I handled wiring for my trickle charger. Where I park in the garage, I have a hook on the wall to hang the trickle charger on. I was able to pressure fit the SAE connecter in one of the holes in the grill. It has a cover I can snap over it when not in use.
I also think that the alternator is not big enough to handle powering all of the electrical items while they are in use and charging the battery, so the system draws the battery down. A bigger alternator would of course add to the total vehicle weight.
I just got my second new warranty battery in my '19. I will be setting up a trickle charger to mine and getting a cable so that I can change the Forscan setting. I know that mine is due to not driving it enough - only 9500 on the odometer. I am also experiencing the same issues with my '22...
Yea, I don't drive much. A previous thread on this site clued me into the proper charging method. I connect the the negative wire to the bolt that grounds the negative on the battery to the body on the inner fender to the right of the battery.
I have been fighting with this on my '19 Ranger (9k miles). The battery was replaced after a year. It is back at the dealership again for this issue, because charging the battery wasn't solving the issue and I was getting the notice he showed in the video when I got in to start the truck...
Thanks! I started out just cutting a hole the same dimensions as the opening in the bed side. However, the outlet would not clamp on due to the thickness of the liner. I then cut the opening a little wider all the way around. I stopped cutting at a very snug fit around the outlet.
Bronco Sports don't come with hood struts. Fortunately, Redline Tuning makes aftermarket ones. They were very easy to install. Maybe they can be persuaded offer a set for the Ranger.
Installed the 12v outlet I purchased from forum member G5RP today. The hardest (and scariest) part was cutting the hole in my Bedrug bedliner to go around the outlet. I think it looks pretty good IMHO.

Ford dealers aren't the only ones doing ADMs. A friend told they went to buy a new Chevy truck and the dealer told him that because he lives outside of the city limits of the city the dealer located in, the truck would cost him $10k more than the price they had the truck listed for on their...
My outlet just arrived this afternoon. It is supposed to be in the 60s Saturday here in IL, so I am hoping to do the install then. Can't wait to see it installed.
Yes the majority in my area of IL (Quad Cities) on the Mississippi are locally owned. One was recently purchased by a regional multi-dealership group. This group was the first to add ADMs to the Bronco Sport. It is one of the 5 that are in a ten mile radius. Now a couple others are following...
