geez look at all that waste of materials, time, money, and environment killing, slave labor supporting... sad.News making more from a story. It would be like all us Ranger Owners sitting at ONE gas station that had no gas.
There are supercharge stations everywhere: (These are just TESLA ones) They can use any of the other chargers as well (Electrify America, Blink, EVGo, Volta)

Yeah, but at a Tesla Supercharger Facility you might not have Supercharging capabilities due to Tesla making an oopsie and turning off the feature because the vehicle was claimed to be a salvage by accident or something..... So yeah I'll keep my Petrol Power for a while. Even I know the technology is not quite thereNews making more from a story. This. I don't know why everyone jumped straight into pure EV. Having the battery and a small fuel tank to run an engine justbfor charging on the go would have been a great alternative. Range could have been 500 miles easy and been best of both. Hybrid is already a great option and doesn't leave you reliant on just batteries.im not totally anti ev. if someone made a diesel electric hybrid truck that was tough, filled all the roles my rangers do - and was still affordable- id be happy to have it.
The Toyota CEO made a public statement that the world isn't ready for all electric vehicles exclusively an he thought the answer was plug in hybrids and he was replaced about a month later.This. It's actually not like everyone with a Ranger sitting at a gas station with no gas. Why? Because gas stations still work in the cold.
A better analogy would be like all Ranger owners sitting at a limited number of gas stations, that only Rangers can use, that don't have any fuel BECAUSE it's too cold out.
Haven't seen that happen yet, keep your double AA powered car I'll stick with gasoline.
The part the story is glossing over is the charge protection for the battery. If you charge a cold battery you can damage it. Most smart devices down to your phone know this and won't charge a cold battery so if your Tesla has been sitting outside all night and it's low on juice to begin with and you were planning on juicing up before work when it's -30F with the wind chill...

Hence one of the comments about battery conditioning. Unlike an ICE vehicle you can't dump some juice in once it's dead, either. You have to either tow it to a charging station or have somebody tow a generator to your location to charge it.
Wave of the future ?? powered by unicorn ? ? farts and good thoughts instead of the dirty coal fired electrical power plant miles away you can't see while you're too busy virtue signaling to the rest of the world ?
Maybe I'll use that map for some laughs tomorrow and drive by some of those charging stations and laugh at the battery powered nerds from my warm and dirty ICE powered Ranger ?
true! The same people pushing us to a 100% electric vehicle use want to dump gas and coal electric for solar an wind power. How are those solar panels working in Chicago right now?
Long ways to go but don't let that stop you from pushing for it right now.
